What is the pressure reducing valve supposed to be set to for the filtration ?
@Plumingoph5 ай бұрын
Manufacturer says to not exceed 80 psi. Generally I’ll have them set somewhere between 60-70psi

It looks like the drip leg is before the valve, it should be after so you can service it. Also in my state you have to have a CPVC or Copper to dump from T&P valve.

Seems like people said just about everything. Couple of people should have watched the video a second time… 🙄 just cause it hasn’t been said I’m gonna say not enough air gap in the t and p. Also not seeing the pan draining to anything so it’s basically useless. Also no foam pad under it

Maybe you could have oriented the shut off valve on the cold side further away from the ground connections so that it could function easier

In Utah the expansion tank needs to be mounted in a bracket on the wall, the saddle valve should’ve been replaced with a tee and angle stop

So, I always install the tank with the Schrader valve up. My logic is that the bladder inside the tank won't have the weight of the water on it. Now some would argue that entrained air will gather beneath and cause corrosion. So with that in mind, I always replace the tank when I replace the water heater.
