Good information, I have a ar-15 that fails to feed the next round. Shoot the first round but the next one won’t feed. What’s the problem? Thanks.

My M&P-15's bolt carrier group will do everything except come back far enough to reset the hammer. No jamming, no stovepiping, no failure to advance, just won't reset the hammer. With both sets of ammo I was using to test it out. Is that a symptom of being undergassed?

I bought a Radical arms AR15. Brought to shoot today. Will not shoot any round. Not leaving and mark from firing pin at all. ? Am I missing something

Is the firing pin actually in the bolt?

There is no proper placement for a red dot

I was taught to put your Red Dot in a place where it does not obscure your left or right peripheral vision when you are shooting with both eyes open

I had a Vortex Spark about 10 years ago. What a piece of junk. Every time I pulled the trigger the red dot disappeared for 2 seconds. Called customer service and they said to pull battery spring a little bit. That did not work. So before I broke it, and bought it , sent back. BTW, red dot position is at the forward most part of the upper receiver rail, or whatever you are hitting the target with.
@44hawk282 күн бұрын
The most comfortable place for me is just ahead of the receiver and usually off at an angle so that I can use the actual sites for anything further than about 50 yards. Considering Red Dot is for relatively close quarters battle. You can use them out to about a hundred yards but I prefer to actually start using sites Beyond about 50 yards

I have a 16 inch midlength barrel running a carbine spring and an h2 buffer and it's still kicking out between 12:30 and 2. Not too mention I have some gas escaping around the bottom of my gas block. Tried a looser tolerance bolt carrier and still overgassed. Just ordered an adjustable gas block. If this don't fix it I'm just going to buy a different barrel. Wish I had pin gauges to tell the gas port size. This is ridiculous. I have a different rifle with a 16 inch carbine fn barrel that is slightly undergassed with an h2 buffer. Next time I'm buying another fn barrel. Insanely accurate and good qc. Buy once cry once

Very good info. My AR with 350 ledgen barrel seems like the bolt sometimes won't close all the way and when you pull back to get it to close it will but if you come back to far another round will try to load.

I build and sell AR 15 & AR 10 uppers and have owned AR rifles before Bull Clinton was president. I think looking to see what the problem with the bolt catch was on the rifle would be advised but seeing the gun owner is a real Green horn for knowledge of AR rifles it is a sure thing the knuckle head wouldn't ever find the problem with the bolt latch in the gun. I've never seen that problem in AR rifles, and I do use some Aero parts. The only issues I see is adjustment of the adjustable gas blocks so once the gas is regulated none of my AR uppers have problems. If I hear from a buyer of my uppers there is a problem, it always leads to a magazine problem or right buffer and buffer springs My own AR rifles all of them have the Phase 5 bolt catch so I can work the bolt catch with the trigger finger.

I like to slightly catch the first handguard pic with the red dot base if I can to add some more rigidity to the rifle. Good vid.

Hey G2! I just bought my first AR 300blk and im having issues with the empty shell casing getting caught in the ejection while feeding the next round. This cause a major jam each time I fire more than one round. Even when I shoot one round sometimes it doesn’t fully eject out of the chamber. Is this part of the break in process?

Mine has to go forward when I mount them because I put IMBUS sights on most of my shit and they have to have enough room to lay down in the “undeployed” position.

Thank you so much for your videos. Very informative. Wanted to share one call out with you. The 50 yard zero is not the best for the 556 caliber, if the intent is to have simple , "Put the thing on the thing, and press the thing, relative accuracy. The best zero for this application is the 36 yard zero. This tightens the pattern to roughly the size of a music CD between 25-300 yards, depending on the cartridge & barrel length you choose. Again, truly appreciate the videos! Great work!!

As far forward to retain proper eye relief based on rear stock adjustment. An RDO has no value, if you have to squint or significantly reposition your cheek away from standard iron sight picture.

I shot my ar15 pistol for 4 years put prolly 8000 rounds in it. Last time I went to shoot my gun wouldn’t extract or cycle a new round. My buddy looked at my gun and noticed my gas block was loose. I didn’t know it could work itself loose.

There's no perfect bullet. In confined space, even side mouting a white light is bad. It will introduce a "well known" blindspot if you're not point shooting. But if you have a laser for cqb it's precisely so you keep your head high instead, and use the visible laser as a point shooting aid. Without the laser most of the time you're slouching on the optic/sights trying to get a sidepicture, while you're in sns black condition and tunnel-visionning like crazy, this is a recipe for disaster in confined space. Sidepicturing in cqb with a rifle with laser+light dangling on the side will open yourself to cheap shots (especially from bellow) if the opponent knows what it is doing. Then in open space the problems are different since sidepicturing and slouching is not as impacting because the field of view through the optic and sights is larger. Even then, a visible laser can help you use more a hip firing position, way less tiring and trip-hasardous than walking slouched or at low ready. A converging or parallel zero with a side mount can the better solution because at range you'd rather traverse fire (side to side) than search fire (high to low) with a visible laser, because most of the time you will not get a full 7ft tall target but a partial target. Using over or under barrel laser, with a grazing fire, with a partial target, will mean that the laser will land etheir 100 ft before or 100 ft after the target, whereas using a side mount the laser will land at the precise range and you just have to correct for traverse.

we broke it as an example of what to do if you do break it. even with support there is still a chance they can break. If the holes are too small or the roll pin is slightly too large doesnt matter how you support it, it will break.

Olight Balder R 1350, Green laser. Has 10w lockout light for curious young ones safety. 1350 High strobe low is 600. Mounted front top hand guard on 10in Folding FM 15. Once past 100yds. Close one eye rely in optics. Another Olight on a G 41 45acp Fits flush unless using threaded barrel. Laser bore sight at 50yd gun sitting in Bog Deathgrip to zero. Absolutely no vibration. Makes it crazy fast and easy. Compact pistol has a Mini Olight Balder RL. All three have magnetic charge cord. The minis laser is that the 12:00 position instead of the 6:00 position put in it closer to the bore. Oh and the laser is inside of the reflector. Not the outside making it even closer to the bore.

For some people like me a laser aiming device is really the only option for me shooting offhand. You see, I have a condition called "Amblyopia", commonly referred to as "lazy eye". Basically what this means is I am not only "right eye" dominant, but my left eye is virtually useless. I cannot aim using my left eye because I really only have peripheral vision. This is a condition from birth and although there were techniques used to fix that when I was young which is the only time this condition can be corrected; my parents at the time were not successful in getting me to use those techniques and now that I'm 49 years old, there is no known surgery or medical remedy to "fix" my left eye. This also affects to some degree my "depth perception" which I have managed to adapt to. I think gun tubers forget that there are people (like me) out there with handicaps like that.
