I am in the middle of a restore of my 98 TJ. I lined the whole tub with stick on sound deadened, a lot of work but worth it. You did a great job on the carpet, a lot of work. Now I'm onto the paint job, another big job.

Enjoyed this. I just started what u have done. Heater core has been leaking, so I removed the carpet. Well, pass side foot pan wasnt as bad as yours. I'll be doing the same process you did. I'm also going to use soundproofing/heat Matt AND then new carpet. Your jeep turned out great!!

Excellent craftsmanship. I want to see what happens when you disconnect the strut that tilts the bed in order to get more room to work on the engine. None of the bumper companies can answer this question. Also,these cargo beds are attached to the frame with plastic hinges. They will break if you back into something hard.
@rickss69 Жыл бұрын
Completely unnecessary...all you needed to have done was to put some heat on those bolts first to soften the patch loc in the threads. Simple hand ratchet would have removed them.

Just amazing, very skilled! can you tell me the black paint you used on the bead rims and the windshield wiper arms?

Thanks . The rims were powder coated at the powder coat shop ( semi gloss). I used tremclad professional spray can on the wiper arms.

I get many who want to know what is the perfect build. Which is not easy to answer because everyone does different things with their Jeep. But I wanted to share mine since my '05 TJ Rocky Mtn drives and handles absolutely amazing on and off road. Keep in mind, I'm not a rock crawler, I'm an adventurer who takes the family beach wheelin, beach camping, surf fishing, and we hit fun, moderate trails in the fall and winter. Which is why the build is for what's near, nothing was put on this TJ unnecessarily for show. I see too many "spotless Jeeps" with 35's - 37's. As long as you have good off road instincts and common sense, a modest, high quality build will allow you and your family to have a lot of fun! All in, I'm at $25k with my '05 TJ Rocky Mtn. And I can honestly say I'm done, build wise. I might Raptor line it since the TJ has a few rough paint spots and won't ever have to worry about off road pinstriping again. The best part is, this TJ not only keeps up, but just outperforms most of these $40k - $75k JL' s. The '05 TJ has a modest build, yet is extremely capable, durable and affordable. I encourage any Jeeper to search for a rust free TJ 4.0 I6, preferably stock, 3.73's w/ LSD and a Dana 44. And to use my build as a "guide". It was a lot of trial and error but it has been worth it. 2" Old Man Emu coils 32" KO2's or 32" BFG MT's Quadratec Baja alloy rims - perfect backspacing - no rub! Currectlync steering Freedom Off Road front adj track bar M.O.R.E steering box brace JKS quick disconnects Freedom Off Road front lower Adjustable control arms The rest are Fixed Detroit Axles Transfer case drop kit Fox 2.0 Shox Fox steering stabilizer Professional 4x4 shop to do the alignment Since doing this, I have had the best experience with any vehicle I've ever had. One of my favorite mods was added a Banks cat back exhaust giving it a throaty growl, but not obnoxiously loud. Absolutely perfect for the 4.0 I6. Most importantly, be honest with yourself, build your TJ for what you will be using it for. And DO NOT let the aftermarket pushers fool or shame you into thinking you "need" 35" - 42" tires and a 4" - 6" lift to wheel. That's 🦬💩! Like cereal companies saying breakfast is the most important meal of the day, the self serving aftermarket will continue to take advantage of the misinformed. O|||||||O 🇺🇲 Only in a 2 Dr 🇺🇲 '41- '06

Hey…A fellow New Brunswicker with a Jeep TJ… (From your friend’s accent, it sounds like you’re somewhere North of Moncton)…Mine is a 2006…(I’ve had it since new)… I just came across your video and thought I’d have a look…I’m down in SJ… I’ll be curious to know where you got most of your parts…It’s getting harder to find genuine Mopar parts, some of which I prefer, because they fit better. I did manage to get some Mopar fenders, to replace the two original that have started to rust. I’d also be curious to know where you got the half doors. They’re difficult to find, but look like they’re in good shape!
