I grew up in the Army in the 80s as well. But in Newfoundland. Services were not as structured as this; it allowed for a far more, shall I say, enthusiastic meeting. If you were sitting down, something was wrong.

I grew up in The Salvation Army of high neck uniforms and the ladies wearing bonnets. And great brass bands, of which we have managed to keep. Some great days and memories.

This should be in praise of God not just entertainment!
@77thTrombone11 күн бұрын
@@kennethstones2303 Is not their talent God given, and would not appreciation expressed for their talent be inherently appreciation for God's gifts? Is it bad for piece of music to attempt to express the joy of walking in God's light? Perhaps you believe all praise must be done with a long face and downcast eyes....

This piece is a comfort at the moment, my father passed away Easter Tuesday. In tears as I sit at the computer listening to this whilst trying to think of what to say in a prayer for a weekend away with the songsters this weekend

Hi Sharon, It is a great comfort to know that we will meet again. It's a simpel but great tune (arrangement) with very touching words. We are blessed in the Army to have people who can write and compose these words and music. God bless and take care. Herman.

Herman van der Wal thanks. I am really blessed that the Corps that we transferred to at the beginning of this year have been really amazing and feel overwhelmed by the outpouring of their love xxx

Herman van der Wal we attend Chatham Citadel, been there since the beginning of this year.

Hello Sharon, I know 2 maybe tree people that are or used to be at Chatham. The one we stayed in contact with for a long time is Teresa. Her sister was called Samantha (I think). We met in Holland at a international youth camp. Can't remember their sure name. Teresa had light ginger hair. Very nice people. :)

Mitch Right towards the end of the game. You have to shoot an arrow at the big mushroom and a guy called Alex Gibson jumps out playing a big silver cornet. It's really hard to unlock.
