Bobby Fuller definitely was a charismatic performer. If Bobby had lived, he would have had other big hit records, I bet.

These guys along with Storyville and Cry of Love , have got to be the most underrated bands of their time. I have at least three copies of their first album and I love it as much today as when it was released. What a great band !!!

I came here from a Vietnam air base link. Video maker said he saw Jackie there in 1965. I did not but I did see her in 67 but that was in a movie with Bobby Vee they starred in "Come On Let's Live A Little". Good stuff back then, sure was.

RE "Aretha made this 60s classic all her own in 1968," well, no. Burt Bacharach and Hal David wrote "I Say a Little Prayer" for Dionne Warwick, who had the original and biggest hit with this song. But Aretha's cover is IMO the best version of "I Say a Little Prayer."

Who the F is that on bass?
@MrFingers127Ай бұрын
Likely Russ Stableford or Herbie Flowers (it's the typical "Jazz Bass with flatwounds played heavily with a pick through a rather bright amp" sound as you could hear on a lot of Decca records)
@MountainStreamLivesАй бұрын
@@MrFingers127thank you for that. I knew it wasn’t Jamerson but I had no idea who this could be. I love that he leading the band. They all follow him. On the “I run for the bus dear..” that could be some of the best bass I’ve ever heard.

Amazing performance. My favourite Fleetwood Mac performance is I’m So Afraid from 1997. Most of you here will know the one probably.

Glad I got to see them in Hollywood. It was a great set and after they finished she placed her guitar in front of her amp and let scream feedback as they walked off stage.

Burt Bacharach was not only a great composer but he was also great on the organ, too, RIP Burt, we also lost Chuck last year, RIP brother man, every time I listen to Tom Jones he reminds me the great Chuck Jackson, did you know that Chuck Jackson and Jesse Jackson are brothers?
