So chi è quest'uomo, è un attore francese di nome Charles Vanel.

Fatta bene come pellicola che parla di un complotto politico, dimostrando che negli anni di piombo, nei quali le massime figure istituzionali (capi di partito, giudici, ispettori di polizia) pagano con la vita per il loro mestiere, ogni azione e ogni pensiero si siano ormai trasformati in gesto politico. Fà anche vedere come la politica nel Paese sia diventata una giungla in cui vige la regola del tutti contro tutti.

Bel giallo psicoanalitico.

C'è da tremare all'idea di finire tra le grinfie di un giudice così!

it actually worked b/c heston came off as a mexican trying to fit into the established white order. he was rigid & unnatural. he tied well w/ the themes of the story. wouldnt be surprised if both welles and heston knew this & played it out like that.... its hip now to take shots at heston b/c he was conservative, nra etc. But the reality was, in the right role, the camera always drew well to him. he played an archetype many times but underneath it there was the anxiety, the anger, the drive. in this movie he actually dissolved the archetype more & let the fear come more to the surface. he held his own in this pic & allowed the contrast to make welles even more of a monster. thats good acting.

The one movie I had total control....Kane. the studio hated it.

The makeup people gave him a very good light touch over and Charlton Heston makes an entirely credible light-skinned Mexican in "Touch of Evil". And casting him was Well's idea.

You're half right. Vincent D'Onofrio appears on-camera as Orson, but Maurice LaMarche provided the voice. You can look it up if you don't believe me.

Maybe it's because English isn't my first language, but the guy playing Orson Welles here is Vincent D'Onofrio. And he doesn't do the voice of the Brain. That job is done by Maurice LaMarche. All in all; they sound practically the same :P

It's "Touch of Evil". I saw it. It's pretty good, but Orson Welles gave his own character a little too much focus

It's the sort of scene we WANT to happen in real life-- Orson Welles is what we all WISH we could be if we followed our hopes and dreams to become the next Shakespeare or Mozart or Picasso (or Welles!) And Ed Wood is what most of us WOULD be if we followed those hopes and dreams, because a Shakespeare, Mozart, Picasso or Welles is so rare... And yet EVERY Ed Wood deserves to meet his Orson Welles someday, to inspire and remind us all-- "Visions are worth fighting for." :)

The great thing is - this scene obviously never happened in real life, BUT everything they say is true! I think that's kind of the moral of this movie.

I don't think laziness comes into it, Maurice LaMarche is a very talented guy and does a decent job here, I think it's just that generations raised on Pinky & The Brain (Or Futurama in my case) find his voice very recognisable after years of being exposed to it.

I thought that as well, and they have the same voice actor. It can be argued it is laziness, but I think it is just a coincidence that the Brain sounds like Orson Welles (and the two have similar sounding voices). Plus there should be a show called Pinky and the Welles, just saying.

sadly no. Essentially this scene was a metaphor for Tim Burton's admiration for Ed Wood.

I don't think Ed Wood is "the worst" I think he was very innovative.
