How much for a valve job on a 2005 acura mdx same engine size ?
@HooptiesGarageКүн бұрын
Really depends on what labor price is in your area etc. With it being v6 I would ballpark prob $600 range with gaskets etc

Dude I got this huge round bracket right in front of the box. There's now way I can take it out without taking that off. Did you do that?
@HooptiesGarage5 күн бұрын
I don't remember anything like that
@teejay60635 күн бұрын
@HooptiesGarage It's the smog pump for Cali emissions. Sits directly in front of that outer pan, like half an inch away. Has to be removed in that car or thre pan will never come off. Two brackets: one on top with one bolt and one underneath with two bolts. Reachable, but some hoses have to be taken off as well.

I thank you sir that will be a great help. I bought my 98 Tacoma in 2001 with 18,000 miles on it now has 366,000 and I felt the clutch slip a couple days ago. When I saw that crossmember welded in I went down and got me a beer and started crying and searching for videos. When I found yours my search ended my spirits were high and now I’m off to my geeeraj. Thanks again ol buddy.

My blower motor spins extremely fast (WHEN IT'S UPSIDE DOWN) and works on all speeds But when it's facing upwards it stops working why?

When you say getting ground do you mean power? I bought a electrical tester that just lights up, so does it just need to light up on each speed on the resistor to know the resistor isn't faulty or broken?
@HooptiesGarage12 күн бұрын
I might have misspoke if you hook your tester to ground and touch a power source it will light up and vice versa. Your resistor should have a power and ground.

If it idles it blows out hot air but as i start driving it starts blowing out cold an eventually my temperature gauge needle will go to cold. What could the issue be?
@HooptiesGarage14 күн бұрын
Sounds like low on coolant they can be low and not overheat especially in colder weather buts there not enough coolant flowing through the heater core at speed to produce heat
@kevinkeeney329514 күн бұрын
The coolant reservoir is full. I'll be driving and sometimes it'll say overheating due to high temperatures but if the car just sits and idles the temperature gauge will start going back down and blow warmer heat

There should be class action lawsuits against these scummy manufacturers. This is basic maintenance and SAFETY being virtually restricted to a dealership visit. If you buy GM you are either unaware like I was, or complacent in being fucked for no reason

Unfortunately it isn't just gm. They def don't want you working on your own cars

any tips taking off the the plastic plate that holds the knob in place? half of the videos I watch the people broke the clips while taking it off.

Not really I use the plastic trim remover tool but plastic gets brittle and if you rush it or not it can break

Great video but I must warn you, the drum can very easily come out, I’ve had it happen 4 times out of 8 jobs I’ve done and I was holding it in with a screw driver ever time, I think sometimes the drums are already popped out from people driving it with a bad band for a long time.

With the original pins I believe you can get a key re-cut with the actual pin code. If you get the tumbler kit, you can also rekey using your old key and avoid having to use two different keys. Since you are pulling the pins out anyway, just put as many back in so your old key works.
