If it helps anyone: I just did this repair and 1) I used a long punch and hammer to remove/unseat and 2) I used a rachet strap to pull my shock/knuckle backward (my ball joint was unhooked) and then that few inches gave me enough room to tap the new CV home with a rubber dead-blow mallet. I put white lithium grease on the inner snub and splines. Good luck!

The plastic "pins " were 18 yrs old so I used my mini hacksaw to cut them. No mirror, no light, no help. Dodge 2006 3L van.

I used a small hacksaw to cut the pins on the back side. My new motor came with new pins.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2003 5.4 Expedition, there are 2 lines coming through the rubber gromet on the fire wall that are broken off. I can see the same section from your video that should be attached to one of them, no sign of where the other should continue. I will remove the battery and hopefully solve the mystery. I am getting the P0174 and P0406 codes, not sure if both related to this issue. Any thoughts?

Yes it can def cause a 0174 there's a lot of plastic lines in that area by battery and tray

Should both fans work at the same time? I don't overheat but when I have been driving and then stop and turn off engine, a lot of coolant bubbles out of the overflow. I know the fan on the passenger side comes on when I turn on the AC. It is in the 90s and humid just so you know. When sitting in traffic, the gauge moves up to about halfway but never higher. If it isn't the fans I believe I have a bigger problem.

Yeah usually just one fan with ac off depending on the car I believe the caravan is one fan without AC.

One thing none of these videos on this subject address is the location of the pump before any of these calculations begin. Is the pump fully retarded or advanced or what.? There are rotation slots on the pump That are perhaps ¾” long. Hello please let me know . Thank you

I have a 2008 escape 4 cyl auto trans stated slipping all the sudden under heavy load so I changed fluid seemed better on test drive but then would slip out of gear all together u think it’s just the band ?
