Much superior version to what they released later. Raw energy and great example of what was happening with music at the time.

That's how it is on the EP IIRC. I got a copy after opening for them and the delay always irked me a sec given my ADHD and youthfulness

Thomas Erak’s voice in its prime was just so perfect for the genre. The perfect amount of whininess, fullness, and crisp screams that he made sounded effortless. An additional note: The fact that a song like this was conceived as early as 2004 blows my mind. “Emo” kids these days have no idea how much inspiration their favorite bands like MCR, Black Veil Brides, etc. took from a band like TFOT.

one time i told thomas on his twitch stream that i preferred the demo of chapter II over the studio version and when he asked why, i said three words: “the fucking organ”

I was at this show purely for DGD. I'd heard a few Veil of Maya songs before but NEVER Polyphia, they were hands down the most exciting to watch and hear. I'm definitely going to be listening to them way more. It was such a unique sound compared to the others who played just before them... Tim is the shit, I keep watching his KZbin vids now lol.

I know! For Euphoria which can also search he was moving a lot too. I wish I recorded Icronic because he was playing games with Clay the drummer where they were playing hide n’ seek with his drums and they were peeking at each other. It was fun to watch.
