There's a Playstation version of Doom from the 90s. I don't know if it's the same one (in digital format) as the one available today for the PS4. A google search brought me to these articles: doom.fandom.com/wiki/PlayStation_Doom_cheats doomwiki.org/wiki/Final_Doom_(PlayStation)

oh, dip! they fixed the bugged out caco and pain elementals. :D This map took a LOT of effort to 100% kill back in the day. I think Decino was the first to do it on a UV-max run. Keep the vids coming, dude. Great stuff. Seriously, I can't believe you're doing this on hard realism :D

Any difficulty past hard realism is absurd and not fun and considering the limited ammo and endless quick respawns, I question if it's even possible. Even on this mode, some maps you got to conserve ammo.
@SundayTopperАй бұрын
@@CodeQuest9 trying to hit that mark myself. Hitting just 17 feels like it took forever. xD I've tried the one above hard realism; didn't even get past e1m3. That level kicks my butt on reg nightmare. I can't imagine trying to get past that on realism with respawn.
@CodeQuest9Ай бұрын
The problem also with respawn is that 100% kills is pretty much impossible. In classic Doom, there's a specific number of NPC's known for each level, then killing respawns can get you over 100%. In Brutal Doom (or maybe just Zdoom/GZDoom), the % for kills accounts for every NPC, even new respawns, so it's pretty much impossible to get 100%.

@CodeQuest910 ай бұрын
A guy by the name of Thomas van der Velden made this entirely by himself. It took him 5 years. It was first released in 2009 and the latest update (this version) was released the same year. From what I've read, there's a different version that you can play on Playstation (possibly elsewhere as well) that has a few more levels and a couple other things are different and that came out even later.
@CodeQuest910 ай бұрын
He gave it some of its own mechanics unique from Doom II. Like, the canon in Doom II would fire and explode when it hits, but in this game, it's a different weapon that shoots a projectile that sometimes sticks on something and triggers when you touch it, but otherwise still explodes. Level 6 is full of NPC's like this (Harmony's version of the Cyberdemon) and it was the hardest level. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmeUkn6wq9yrjrs

There's nothing to it. The way they made the maps in Doom and Doom II do not allow for multiple floors. Everything is flat, in a sense, even though some areas are higher than others. If you notice while playing the game, no open area you can walk on is just above or below another. That said, when you shoot, it'll hit monsters in front of, above, and below you, so long as your weapon faces them.
