I JUST CANT GET THE SIDE TO SIDE BALANCE YET. I KNOW FORWARD MOMENTUM WILL CANCEL THIS PROBLEM OUT, BUT THE TIME BEING, I JUST CANT GET THE BALANCE THING GOING. THIS IS WHY I HOLD THE RAIL, LETTING GO, GLIDING, HOLDING ON, GLIDING AND SO ON.
@caliunicyledad49863 жыл бұрын
Practice, it will click. Think less about the wheel and more about maintaining your balance side to side, small weight adjustment shifts foot to foot to keep that wheel upright. Another tip is if you start to turn, ride it out, just give yourself space.

This video was what convinced me to buy the Leatt 3DF 6.0. It's been a year since the video was posted. Do you still feel the same way? I have heard some people complain that they slide out of place in a crash.
@caliunicyledad49863 жыл бұрын
I switched to these because the previous guards i had slid and offered no protection, I actually got messed up pretty bad. These have been tested a few times and performed as expected for me.

Does the upper sleeve mesh seem to roll down or does it stay firmly?

It should stay if you size it properly. Leatts got a size chart available to double check.

Just keep practicing and it will come to you. Work on hitting what they call the "Power pocket" and rip hard and fast on the disc at that point.

How comfortable (soft) are the Leatt's? I've been considering the 6.0's. I love the Leatt kneepads I have (dual axis). I bought a pair of the Leatt 3DF Hybrid elbow pads and they are very uncomfortable - feel very hard against my elbow, which I don't think would be nice in a crash.
@caliunicyledad49863 жыл бұрын
I usually forget that I'm wearing these, I find them pretty comfortable. If you size them properly I'd expect you have the same results. Cheers!

I wish I found this video earlier. I have started riding an EUC a few days ago, I'm getting the hang of it slowly, but the pressure that it had on my shins was brutal. A friend of mine is also practicing a lot, and he has the same issues. I am now taking a few days break to allow them to recover. Thing is, we didn't even get hit by the EUC (it's an MSX, btw). But we still have a hard time finding the balance on it, so I guess we compensate by putting a lot of force from the shins towards the EUC which causes massive pain over long periods of time. I haven't really seen the other youtubers, even the more known ones, talk about the shins, and it's been my biggest obstacle so far.

I found I didn't like the slip-on kind, especially when you're wearing a sweatshirt and you want the sliders on the outside. So, I got some cheapie strap on elbow pads and they were ok, but I wanted forearm protection as well. Then I got some expensive Dainese strap-on type, but after using them a few times, I don't really like how they fit and I'm ready to go back to the cheapies. Anybody have any advice on a strap on type elbow and forearm pad with hard armor ?
@caliunicyledad49863 жыл бұрын
These aren't made to go over clothing, possibly they could go over like a thermal or like sport stretchy thin like material long sleeve top. I personally don't use strapped pads for elbows because they slide/change position when you crash and afford no protection. I'd recommend these leatts against your skin and a hoodie/windbreaker type over the top if your cold. I do consider these warm weather pads but they easily fit in the sleeve of a hoodie.
@chato62103 жыл бұрын
What do you think about the elbow guards I'm interested in buying them? Looks like they'll stay in place any shifting around? I want to use them for riding on a electric unicycle 20 mph mist of the time, 30 mph max mostly on bike trails/parks eventually city.
@caliunicyledad49863 жыл бұрын
They're great, still holding up really well.
@chato62103 жыл бұрын
They take a hit pretty good? If so were they exposed / direct hit or do they hold up but only under clothing?

Exposed, the hard plastic slides. They will get some scratches but that's what they are made for.

Hey great Video ..Im looking at a set of these for summer Enduro Riding temps around 30-35 C or 85-95 F . I have the Titian pro ATM but they are three years old & have always moved down my arm while riding so time to replace them. My question is are they hot to wear or does the wicking material keep your arms cool. If they keep the heat in they are no good for me. Thanks & keep the videos coming
@caliunicyledad49863 жыл бұрын
To me they aren't extra warm. The stretchy part will get sweaty but it isn't like I feel a whole lot cooler temperature wise when I take them off. I'd say that heat gain is negligible for me.

What beginners don't understand is the flight ratings. It takes a lot of arm speed to get a 12/13/14 speed disc to fly properly. The best thing for a beginner is to work on their form and throw a putter. A putter will reveal their flaws and will help to throw straight. Then I would step up to a midrange and/or a fairway driver. I would not go above a 9 speed until the person starts getting the proper throwing form down. A fairway driver is way more controllable and doesn't take as much arm speed to throw and have the disc work properly...... Great video, by the way!!!

@caliunicyledad49863 жыл бұрын
It can be hard to start but stay positive and don't give up. Try to keep in mind that you want to balance your weight evenly on each foot and make small corrections to try to keep the wheel level. Your pulling left because your pushing more weight on that left peddle.
