What is the point of this? A laser level for lazy zoomers that don't know how to use real tools? Any other, cheap laser level and laser tape measure can do the same job with a fraction of the footprint for the cost, fit easily into a tool bag, and not make you look like some lazy hipster d-bag.

For apparel industry, is it possible to duplicate a measurement, for example to measure a waist band from one side to the other and duplicate this to get a circumference measure? I can send the measurement catches to a PC?

What if you start to measure at 45 degree and stop measuring at 90 degree, how it affect the results? For example if you only start measure from angle or if it just how you move your hand?

It takes more mechanical movements and forethought to use such a toy than the amount of brain power and physically measuring your scaled drawing. If your completely bored and are mentally handycaptt then go-ahead and use this novelty

I bought one... but the Quickstart guide does a terrible job of explaining how to do custom scales. And these videos with music and quick cuts are useless. So here's my question. I downloaded a simple floor plan from the internet and printed it out on a standard size sheet of paper. The ONLY dimensions on the floor plan are the total width and depth of the house in feet and inches total width is 62'-9" and total depth is 48'-10"), but there are no individual room dimensions so I have no idea how big any room, hall, closet, or garage is. Thats where I assumed this NeoRuler would shine. So I would think this is a very important function for this ruler's users... can you please explain step by step, how to set up a custom scale in feet and inches? Thank you-Mike

@@SangheiliSpecOp Architects have totally no use for this at all 😆 you would never put a scale on a plan these days. If you had an old paper drawing it would get scanned into something like Bluebeam and you could measure or trace it there. Nobody prints out drawings anymore.

@@jarentz Well maybe not to your knowledge, but in a lot of places they do. Especially junior architects, who aren't sent off to a computer to begin with plans lol.

@@KangSupreme Maybe in a third world developing country. But literally everyone in the modern world has a computer, especially for uses like school or business. If someone can’t afford a computer how or why would they buy a $130 gimmicky digital scale? Yes as a junior architect I used a drafting table and the office only had one or two computers but that was 30 years ago. When I took my US architects exam in 1994 it was drawn by hand but it was computerized the next year.

@@jarentz You're right, in developing countries (May or may not be third world). I never made an argument for the 130 dollar digital scale. I simply stated that in a lot of places, they still opt for physical medium. Where I'm from, the architects have laptops, but they are pushed to study using traditional medium side by side. Tech can always have a possibility to fail you, hence it makes sense like that. Maybe not ideal, but yeah.

I want to know how you down load into a cad program and it automatically recognizes thw walls. None of the measurements carry into cad. And i basiclynhave to redraw out all the walls from lines to walls.
