I wish I had included that as well, several have said having the rubber gromit covered port on the side gives easy access to those who know so they could pull the card, but in my install location there are bricks against the right side of the doorbell so that is not an issue for me. I checked the Wyze website firmware flash page and they do not have a way to flash the firmware on that device. I would reach out to Wyze since the issue happened during a firmware update and see if there is anything they can do. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer at the current time. If your thermostat is dedicated to air conditioning only, it will have a red Rc wire. For heating and cooling systems, it will have a red Rc and a red Rh wire. Though both wires are red, they are not interchangeable. When you tell the app what colors you have and where they are connected in your original thermostat it will tell you where on the new unit to connect it. I hope this helps answer your question. The only cameras I know of that work natively with RokuTV are the Roku branded cameras that are sold at Wal-Mart (They look just like Wyze cameras but have different firmware) however there are currently no wireless models that I am aware of. These specific light bars can be powered by a USB-C port on a computer but there is no app to our knowledge (at this time) that can control the lights other than the camera itself. There are other setups that can allow the lights to be controlled based on the HDMI signal of your PC (or firestick, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) Like this one amzn.to/3VNbg6w , but the Govee G1 Pro is less expensive because it is designed to use the camera (which has the controller integrated.) What kind of cameras are you using? Are you able to add a camera using the mfg and putting in your mfg app log in credentials? In the video I set up the 1st camera by hitting add and selecting Wyze and Wyze pan, putting in my login credentials and when it didn't find my camera on channel 1 it showed a list on the screen of the channels it did see. I picked one of those channels and from there checked that "Camera Status" I mentioned. Please reply and I will see if I can offer further assistance. Thanks for supporting the channel.

The color saturation on the v3 looks better to me as well. But the clouds and the trees have more detail in the v4. But I don’t know how much I’ll need details on clouds or trees in security footage. lol. I’d rather be able to make out the cars and people. But the v4 does pull up faster than the v3, and it has WiFi 6, so those are trade offs to consider. I won’t be replacing my v3 cameras, but I will use these to replace older v2 cameras I am still using. Because the night vision is so much better on the v3/v4 versions. Years ago, they actually used to recognize levels below 100,000 subs. Graphite at 100 subs, Opel for 1,000 subs, and Bronze for 10,000 subs. But with so many channels now, they don’t recognize anything less than 100,000 subs, which is and all Silver play buttons or Gold ones for more than 10,000,000 subs. We’re a small channel, and nowhere near that level yet, despite the hard work we put into our channel. But, I wanted to recognize the hard work and achievement of hitting 1,000 subs for my son Tommy, (it was his idea to start the channel when he was only 6) and my twin brother Rennie, (who’s helped me make Tommy’s dream a reality). Achieving 1,000 subscribers allowed us to officially join the KZbin Partner program, (which means after 3 year, we’re an “actual channel” and not just a hobby). 🙂 Lol. That’s why I reached out to guy and had the Opel buttons made, (and not Silver or Gold which would be wrong). The Opel button is meant to honor the KZbin level we’ve actually hit (and KZbin used to recognize) and also remind us, that we’ve come a long way since we started three years ago. We’re not trying to pretend we’ve done anything we didn’t, but I also did want to celebrate the achievement of having over 1,000 KZbin viewers actually subscribe to our channel. I thought it looked the same as well, except the tree detail in the distance was better on the v4. But the footage did pull up a little faster than the v3, and the Auto Zoom and integrated spotlight was a nice addition. The v3 Pro was $60 for the Spotlight feature, or $15-20 if you buy the Spotlight accessory for the v3. Thanks for the comment and thanks for supporting the channel.

In the comparisons I noticed that the v3 seemed to have better color saturation at night, but there was more detail in the far field, (trees) and the shine of the car paint. So, it really depends on what it is you are looking for. But the Auto Zoom feature, that uses ai to zoom into motion it thinks you would be interested is a great feature I’ve only seen in the O.G. Camera, and it pulls up faster in the app, than the v3. So, you need to weigh which of these features are the best fit for your needs. Both are solid options. Fair question and thanks for dropping a comment to ask it. We didn’t compare the WyzeCam v4 with the v3 Pro, O.G., Outdoor, or Pan cams. We only compared the WyzeCam v2/v3/v4 because the price-points (between $30-35) for these cameras were similar at time of launch, (and the v3 Pro is $60, or almost twice that price, (currently $45 on sale at the time of this post)). The Pro has a 2.5k resolution so the picture quality may be the same, however the WyzeCam v3 Pro sends the image and feed directly from the camera to the phone, (where the WyzeCam uses the cloud first). But we may make a follow-up video to compare the v4 with the v3 Pro, because that might be an interesting comparison indeed. Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for supporting the channel.

The camera should be able to put up with Florida's direct sunlight just fine. We have 1 of these V3 Pan cameras setup at a house in Texas and it has been in Texas direct sunlight for over a year with no issues. I would mention that at times when the direct sunlight is in the field of vision there will be a solar flare in the footage that appears as a white spot, but it is only at times that the sun is directly pointing at the lens and this is the same for other cameras as well. We didn't use my Windows 11 to view the Wyze cams because that requires a paid service and the point of this video is to show how to monitor without a paid service, but we will look into the Windows 11 option and reply back with the results. As for seeing the camera on 2 monitors, We've setup TinyCam Pro on 2 different firesticks running on 2 different TVs at the same time for a friend of ours and they both run 24/7. You can also run the Wyze app on an old phone connected to WiFi and have a live monitor there as well. The simplest solution would be to get a camera compatible with your device. Or in this case a device compatible with your camera. A FireTV (Or Insignia TV with FireTV built in) Would connect and view your camera through the Alexa interface by adding the DZEES skill and using the alexa buton to call up the individual camera. As for the TinyCamPro used in this video, I just checked and DZEES cameras are not listed as supported . There are tons of cameras that are compatible, (even an option for "ip camera for android" that can be configured to connect by ip, username, password, etc.) that may work, but no guarantee. The cameras I used in the video are made by Wyze (available on Amazon, wyze.com, and Home Depot.) The "Roku" branded cameras are the same hardware as some of the Wyze cameras I use, but almost everything else is different and proprietary like the access, app, firmware, etc.) To my knowledge, The Roku cameras are only accessible from the Roku app on a phone or the smart home app on the Roku TV. If your Insignia TV has FireTV then any camera that can be added to Alexa is able to be pulled up on the TV ( like the Wyze outdoor cams, etc. To bring the camera up just press the blue Alexa button and asking for that specific camera (example: "Bring up the Backyard camera." ) this should bring up the backyard camera until you press the back button. I wish this was something we could offer, lol. I've found an easier way to setup the cameras in TinyCam Pro. When adding a camera, name it whatever, after choosing Wyze and Wyze cam (or pan depending on model) sign in with your Wyze login username and password and just below select the Camera UID and you should now see a list of all of your cameras by name. Select the camera you want to choose and it should automagically rename it correctly. You can copy that camera and let it name it whatever and the channel as well, then edit that camera and go straight to the Camera UID and select the next camera. Thank you for the update, I have had better success with 8GB and 16GB, but I will start ensuring that the cards are formatted FAT32 before putting the firmware on it, I have 1 V3 that is still shelved, I will try this on that one and report back with the results, Thanks again for sharing your experience and thanks for supporting the channel.

Make sure you have removed the plastic covering the V3 camera and I find it easiest to start with the QR code further away from the camera (1.5-2 feet) and slowly move towards the camera. You can also start out with the QR code right up against the camera and slowly pull back, I have has 2 camera that didn't seem to work, but after power cycling them a few times I tried again and they worked just like they were supposed to. I too have had many Lifx bulbs with hit or miss experiences however, The Beam has been rock solid, the issue seems to be with the app losing connectivity sometimes, but with each update this seems to be a little better. That said, if I was going to recommend this kind of light, unless you are a specific Apple Home user, I would recommend the Govee's version (Govee Glide Wall Light) as it is more reliable, bends left or right orientation and they also make a larger version. Govee's larger version (Govee Glide RGBIC 3D Wall Light) with shipping is priced about the same as this LifX Beam by itself. I hope this helps you decide which is best for you. I've had mine for over 3 years. Still love them! Recently bought another set, split the bars 3 and 3 and added to the ones already installed. Other than occasional wifi issues, mostly on my end, I've had no issues. I happily stand by my decision and definitely recommend. May need some tweaking at first but smooth sailing moving forward.

The power port on the V3 Pro is a micro USB but the power plug puts out more power than the regular V3 so when I swapped them I changed the camera and the power adapter, but left the 30 foot micro USB that was run in place. Unfortunately, the security required to view the updated firmware running on Wyze cameras, requires the newest version of TinyCam Pro, and that requires the updated FireOS on the newer sticks (any current gen fire stick with a blue Alexa button, or I have it running on fire TV 4K, and 4K max from the previous generation.) On older sticks the only option to view a Wyze camera is to press the Alexa (mic) button at the top and call that camera by name and bring the cameras up one at a time. I would say any of the new generation sticks should work, but I'd say the latest gen 4k Max is my 1st choice, then the current 4K model. As long as it is running Fire OS 6, it should run the latest version of TinyCam Pro. I have a Fire TV Stick (2nd gen) but it only runs Fire OS 5.2.9.5 and it will install the current version of TinyCam Pro but it will not allow connection to my Wyze cams due to the new login process which is only supported in android software versions higher than 5. If you tell your device to "Open Video Home" it should open a page and show you all video services that are available on your specific device. On the Gen 2 Show 5 that list should include FireTV Channels, Prime Video, Netflix, KZbin, Bing, TikTok, Red Bull TV, and Tubi. Well you can pair the Firestick and the Show 8 together as described in this video, but that will make video requests made on the Show display on the TV instead of the screen on the show. I like to go on the firestick to the settings > Controllers & Bluetooth Devices > Other Bluetooth Devices then tell the Show to "Pair with my device" This will place the show in pairing mode and it will tell you what name to look for on the firestick to connect to it. Then you can change the audio from the tv across the room to the Show close to you so you can get full sound even at lower volumes since the show is likely closer to you. If you have the Alexa Voice Remote Pro, there is a "headphone" button in the upper right of the remote. If you press it you can connect and disconnect from your connected Bluetooth devices. On mine, I can choose between Headphones, Show 8, Show 10, and Echo Studio (each device is in a different part of the room) I hope this helps you come up with a configuration that works best for you. The lamp socket has a proprietary cable that is wired differently than the regular V3 power cable this was the cause of the bricking in the video. The Lamp Socket Will ONLY work with the regular Wyze V3. The reason is, the V3 software interface was designed to work with the LED light attachment they offer and the lamp socket leverages this interface. It sounds like you have the V3 Pan, that is a different camera and interface all together. I hope this helps and thanks for supporting the channel.

what model of firestick and what version of TinyCam Pro are you using? The latest version is currently 17.0.5 - Amazon Appstore (this stopped asking for the 2FA and got my cams back online, )? Have you been able see the feed fromeven one Wyze camera to show? An easy trick I use to determine the first channel, is to start by setting up a single camera on channel "1" and then save it and hit the back button. If the camera is on channel "1" it will show up successfully, if not, when TinyCam Pro doesn't see the camera, it gives an error that says something like Error: no device found, cameras on channel 5,6,7,8, and 11, this will show you what channel to start with, from there setup a camera and once set, confirm the camera shows and then go back into the settings of that camera. In the camera settings go to the top and select "Camera Status", under Advanced Info it lists "Relay type - Not relayWyze devices" under that is a list of every device it sees. Camera are labeled as such with it's channel number in front of it. Now you can copy/pasta the first camera and just name the "copy" the name of the new camera and set the channel number. With the new V3 Pan and the OG and OG Telephoto I also had to go in settings to "Camera UID and selected the camera by name to make them viewable. You only need to change the model if it is different from the one copied ( Pan cam or regular cam). I hope this helps and thanks for supporting the channel.

@@SmarthomeRiggsthanks man! i figured it out the following day I wrote this comment and i managed to somehow get it to work with 2FA. Now the issue was that for some reason P2P wasn’t working and I had to auth tinyCam to access my Wyze account through the google authenticator. After 2 hours of trying to figure out how that worked I managed to do but not without its issues. First one being that anytime any sort of device other than the cameras and firestick themselves would connect to the Wifi it would cause either quality or connection drop-off’s. Now normally it stays at around the max around 720p and whenever this would happen go to 240-144p. Second issue is that anytime that the camera or Wyze app had to update it completely shit itself idk why or how but it would get back up and running on it. I appreciate your help I had my firestick up to date and both my cams as well as the app and even the tv i set it up on. Now i’m having another issue wherein the cams, after updating failing and re-updating will not for anything in the world connect to TinyCam i’ve tried everything and currently i’m restarting and going to factory reset them both. The sign in don’t work, no more 2FA request, Wi-Fi’s good-stable, Firestick up to date and tiny app too. The error it spits out is “P2P fail to start session (AV_ER_IOTC CHANNEL_IN_USED)”. Contrary to what it reads P2P is working fine and the forums don’t help at all as i’ve already tried all their troubleshooting options, anyways hope you see this soon there’s lots of shootings where i live and i’d love where they’re coming from!
