This thing was the most talked about news ever and now it’s seven months later it’s been forgotten about by the way we used to cross that road all the time to head to Delaware

I still can't believe she's gone. The Key bridge was iconic. A big part of Baltimore. Seeing it gone from the horizon when I visit is so sad. I hope it gets rebuilt soon. 695 isn't complete without it

You would have thought that after the Sunshine Skyway collapse that there would have been a change to put in those dolphin guards like they did on the new bridge. Especially in heavily traffic shipping routes under bridges.

Dont make me laugh by saying its impossibke.Napolian Hilll in " Think and Grow Rich" relates a story about Hendry Ford.Ford wanted his engineers to build a 8 cylinder engine.They said: " I was impossible" Ford said; " Do it anyway." After a year the engineers came back and said" It still impoosible Sir" Ford said; " Impossible or not;I want it done." When they came back with smiles 6 months later they grinned and said."We done it Sir"

I live in a city with almost no skyscrapers and few high-rises, so I remember being quite astonished the first time I visited a friend in Philadelphia and traveled through the office building where she worked. The idea of elevators--like trains--running on local and express lines was so novel to me! But I did understand the necessity for efficiency's sake. It was not until this video that I ever considered the mass of the wires to lift them also being a limiting factor.

It's a government lie, it never happened. Pete and repeat we're walking on a bridge. Pete fell off who's left repeat?. After I kept saying that allegedly the government lied and said a ship hit a bridge in peak buildings is the transportation secretary. I'm tired. Of your government lies

I live right down the street from this bridge. It still feels unreal that I can't cross it anymore. They're talking about it taking four years now.

As someone who grew up in the Greater DC Area I'm gonna say, this Bridge was part of my childhood. I remember driving across it in 2015 (back when I was still in 4th Grade) when going to visit my cousins in Long Island in New York and that would be my first (and final) time crossing it.

Worked for a local cruise line for nearly 10 years, and use to watch those massive container ships pass beneath the bridge many times. Quite the sight. Often commented was eventually one of those ships would hit the bridge it would collapse. The lack of dolphins was also a problem.

Nice video, Young Hero! Is it true that the Burj Khalifa is not connected to a sewerage system, and depends on a fleet of tankers taking away waste under cover of darkness every night? If so, I think you should take away points - if a building is not plumbed into its local environment, it is not really a valid construction. In fact it would just be a burden on its own neighbourhood. If something happened to disrupt those waste tankers, how long before the building becomes uninhabitable?

Did you see the manipulated footage. The power Was on when the ship hit the bridge.
@OptiPopulusАй бұрын
People then swapped to saying "muh power fluctuations!!!" If it's not one excuse, it's another..
@javacup912Ай бұрын
There’s no engineering in destroying a bridge, only to construct it. A large ship hit it, and it came down. Structures failed to the obvious. No science on that.

So the bridge was closed, but construction workers were allowed to remain? I'd think that would be a "drop what you're doing and leave now", scenario.
