Great Video! I'm intrigued with the crawler concept; in fact, I don't even own one yet. I come from the world of building and flying FPV quad copters. (5years now) I get that most of the RC hobbies are custom which makes it very cool. But the cost of the learning curve is what's keeping me from pulling the Trigger. couple of great crawlers there. keep up the good work.

Definitely get one if you’re curious about them. It’s a lot of fun.

I just built of of these. I'm using a purple Injora 50 motor. The top rear links touch the motor and prevent full down travel. Did you have this issue?
@BadInfluence_RCАй бұрын
I didn’t have that issue, I have Rampcrab links on the green one with the purple 50 on it

Treal brass Hex extensions, brass steering knuckles, just more brass. Also CapeCrawlers did a video on shock relocation. would help lower the CG.

Limiting bands helped with the whole drive shaft thing when i had my 43mm double barrels. Great video sir. I'm on Injora 40mm oil filled big bores on my MB24 currently.
@BadInfluence_RC2 ай бұрын
After I stretched it with longer links it fixed the issue.

Also mofo is always having a sale and he just had his heavy dip covers sliced down to a little bit of nothing but obviously if you're going towards the X-15 you know you don't need that and 349 has the slider for the back of the X-15 for the diff cover goes and he's got it made out of and has it made out of brass you want to talk about getting this weight down as low as you can that would be a great option great job on the content

Last time I looked the axels were sold out. I’ll check again
@Gibsonlife5732 ай бұрын
Mofo X15 is one of the strongest axles on the market hands down and he's got them in the nylon which really helps I would definitely say try to get away from the Emax Servo I would go with like that Black Label that mofo has strong as iron and then you know it's aluminum case aluminum Servo horn and you can get the best servo Mount ever all of that for 54 bucks another thing I highly recommend is I have noticed that any type of 3D or silicone insert causes a lot of bounce when you're climbing something steep if you bounce or slip and it jumps a little bit you're going to break all traction I started playing with crawler Innovation phones again and my goodness what a difference crawler Innovation dual stage foam
@BadInfluence_RC2 ай бұрын
Yeah I’m planning to upgrade all my rigs to better servos soon

Awesome appreciate the tips, I just picked up the new black C10 Mofo RC has outstanding parts for these rigs, I have some brass parts on the way now he does drive shafts. Also, well I’ll watch for the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎

So I went with the LG RP brawler body and then it's got mass and straightening up front and then the rear is actually got 83 mm lowered 73 mm uppers just to get it to set like I wanted and so far it's been an absolute giant one thing one thing and that is the fact that needs a shorter front end it would be running my motor forward obviously I'm only going to have a couple millimeters to play with is one thing that makes it nice about building your own custom links and I can build what I want you know
@Gibsonlife5732 ай бұрын
Another thing on a short rig I would highly recommend running smaller tires are on a portal rig I usually try to stay in that 63 mm range on straight axles you know I don't go no taller than that and if I do the rig is going to be really stretched out and super slammed
@Gibsonlife5732 ай бұрын
I'm gonna keep it real with you anytime you want big breakover and your climbing something that is super steep you want to have a pretty heavy front end but more than anything you want to have a stubed front end so a short front end a long rear end usually my front ends are a little bit longer than dead bolt so they're in between deadbolt and uh C10 I build my own links and dude I pull some of the most insane tricks like just insane and there's no words for it and also check out my boy profit designs Kyle
@Gibsonlife5732 ай бұрын
What an amazing amazing deal that LG RP comes out with these Delrin axles man if people don't have them on their rig they are truly missing out I have beat the living hell out of them and they're still good to go and and my boys just dropped their axle shafts for them Deluxe Fab you need to get their scx24 knuckles I would highly recommend no drilling them out and tapping them for 2 mm and use it 2 mm screws on your steering link
@Gibsonlife5732 ай бұрын
I just don't prefer their new compound and them tires I know they was trying to go for like the rupture layout or whatever but they just missed it you know I don't care for them I just didn't see that much success out of them matter of fact I tried them every which way you can think of the only time I did see any success is when I cleaned it to them with 409 Degreaser lemon scented you have to try it

I really dig your content. Im a Team Driver for MOFO. You asked about axles. The MOFO X15 is in my opinion the toughest axle out there. It is 15mm wider than a stock SCX24. It combines the TRX4M axle shaft style with the SCX24 layout. Retaining the worm gear. He offers 11 dif gear ratios. Top of the li e servos in the Black Label 2.0, and the SERVOBEAST. There is a wide range of brushed and brushless. The X Series brushed motors custom design with proprietaty compo ents. The brushless are the cutting edge with 5 New releases. I know it sounds like an add. I just really believe in Nick the owner. He runs this out of his own garage. Just him and Mike. I could go on. Just check out MOFO RC. You will get lost for hours. He literally carries every part you need to build a rig.

Why is the majority of the scx24 builds designed with Injora parts? Doesn't Axial themselves offer a wide range of quality parts for their vehicles?

They just seem to be a bit more readily available and about the same price or cheaper.
