@lildmckay13 күн бұрын
If you agree to a deal, you should follow through. The alternative to this is for the players to interface with another trade screen so the game could enforce the deal. That would be annoying and an anti-qol. Those abusing this fact and scamming are bad for the game. Either they scam and an individual player is punished, or they’re prevented from scamming and the whole playerbase is punished. No problem with kingmaking to prevent the scammer from being rewarded.

I was red in this one! Fun game. I didn’t have the city even without the mono there, but could have pulled the vp you got on your next turn, so mono saved the game for sure. I really lost hope when I couldn’t get my hands on any wheat and army went out of reach, but almost pulled of the BTT.

Yeah monoing earlier and blocking 10 wheat would have been ideal imo
@catanace1741Ай бұрын
From my experience the biggest problem with monoing early is that it creates a pacing issue and often makes you the sole target for the rest of the game. As a rule of thumb, I prefer to either mono for the win or to give me an unbeatable advantage.
@matthewwells936629 күн бұрын
@@catanace1741yeah that's so true, mono early is almost always worse because everyone just solo robs you until everyone catches up and by then the mono was useless

You may have been able to make a play for 11 point win if you used your knight. If you got any resource except wheat, you could get a city, settle the 3:1, and port for the wood you need to take road.
@nickking3216Ай бұрын
Wild game lol, what are these people doing. You essentially had 3 cities with the extra hex and they’re just ignoring you. Very confusing.
@ParaninjaАй бұрын
People play like this all the time on colonist in my experience. Red made some weird blocks on Blue at the start causing him to want to plow for the three for one on the 8 ore when the three for one on the 5 ore is pretty much as good. Red then plows him to that spot. The game basically splits into two one vs one games with two players contending for first and two contending for not last. I'll admit this is particularly egregious example but a lot of my games pan out like this in ranked.
