Wow! The memories there! I’d spend hours at a time there lost. It changed my idea of what music could be. And art. And Bill, well, how the knew the exact price of every item was amazing! Or just off the top of his head. I was so broke paying for my skateboards at the time or otherwise I’d spend so dang much there! We love you Bill!

Went there a few times between '96 and '98. Never bought a thing. The guy was sketchy. No prices on anything and his little "too cool record store guy" employees would take your stuff over to Bill for him to come up with a price off the top of his head. Had a buddy who shopped there all the time in the 80s and he swore up and down that Bill would always ask him to "go in the back room and discuss a price in private" when he was interested in buying Bowie albums!!

Absolute gem of history thank you for posting this! I spent most of my college years perusing through vinyl here and chatting with Bill.

Wonder why it didn't fire right away. Weak magneto, low compression, or unprimed cylinders? Shouldn't take any more than a jerk over top dead center to spring to life.

That's not a 1910 Buick engine. It's a 1911 or later. The 1910 engine had the spark plugs going into the cylinders in horizonal direction and later when in on an angle.

Incredible... this machine looks (and sounds) like it could have been from 1965. Just few years later the pinball evolution kind of exploded.

4:28 I recall purchasing a Chris Layton CD from that rack, then running back to the stage 2:34 to have Chris sign it. The rack made it to the dumpster 7:46. I don't recall the time span, but I recall going to Bill's for lunch on Fridays, eating free pizza, and listening to live music on a few occasions. I gladly donated to the pizza pool. 2:24 looks like the table the pizza was on. Definitely one of the coolest spots in the DFW area for a while.

Wow. I was just looking through my old tape collection (yeah, still got em but nothing to play then on) and thought about Bills. Did quick search and led me to this. So many memories flooded back: heading to Bills after school, hanging out, getting a slice at the little Caesars across the street, I even remember meeting 2 live crew there. Wow. Bill was a great guy and made everyone feel welcomed. I don't think I ever visited his new location, it just wasn't the same. Thanks for the memories. 😊RIP Bill!

This is a VERY good way to break your arm! NEVER hand crank a car the way this man is doing it. You cup the crank in the palm of your hand but do not cover the crank with your thumb tuck your thumb under the crank and then lift up quickly on a compression stroke. If the engine kicks back the crank will fly out of your hand but the way this man is doing it the crank would more than likely break his arm if the engine kicked back. Another note: Before cranking the engine over make sure the spark is retarded by leaving it in the advanced position the engine will kick back for sure.

this one is running smoothly. was my first owned machine in 1980, bought another one in 2005, one of my anchors in my collection. altough the flip flags were a novelty, they work fine on the wizard. imagine that in 1975, executives at bally were discussing if the gameplay was "too complex and was putting payers off" (honestly). also one of dave cristensens finest artwork.
