O find the 2nd gear so short, will try the other direction, with 49 sprocket and longer 2nd, which has nice power and better speed when shifting to 3rd. Going 51 or 52 makes the 3rd great, but i was afraid that 2nd gets really useless because do short. That would mean 2 useless gears in the bike. …. Maybe im wrong. Yet, I am not looking for better start performance as you are…

100% agree 👍 great points you shared, thanks 😁 And yes my main reason to change to 52T was for race-starts improvement..

@lawrencecorbo6586 interested to see a lap time comparison 48T VS. 52T. Or 49T VS. 51T. On a well prepped track with good traction the 52T should theoretically accelerate harder in especially 3rd, 4th and 5th gear with the added torque. You just don't want to run out of gears on long straight section 😅

@@FastCoachToby was run with the 2019 stock setting air flow filter lotta holes cut !! Took one lap and went back into the pits ( as a senior at 65 they all if have a sense of there limits let off before you guys ) with that I was taken by surprise how much faster I was mainly because when I let off it rolled like a two stroke chain slack not torque of the Lower gearing if that makes sense to a slower rider (

With cutting the holes, do you have to clean your filter more?
@FastCoachToby
@FastCoachToby 3 ай бұрын
@ajmotocross I would say no, but it just collects more dust evenly spread around the filter via the optimized inflow. Also you should tape up the holes during washing or rain.

Wait what.. did u just say to decrease the hight of the rear.. u INCREASE the spring length .. you squash the spring to lower the back not loosen it lol
@FastCoachToby
@FastCoachToby 3 ай бұрын
Your logic sounds correct, but it's not, sorry. Try re-phrasing it like this: tightening the spring preload makes the bike higher, just like a stiffer spring would. And then loosening the spring preload (going counter clockwise with the adjustment rings, lengthening the spring while uncompressed on a bike stand) lowers the bike, just like a softer spring would do, because it ends up sagging lower when weighted. Thanks for your question - I think it will help some people to read it 😁💡✅️🍻 ps. Suspension setup can be very confusing haha 😁 But I know the basics and I just won a big race in the FiM Asia Motocross Championship, see here kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3e6YWSvfrJ8Y9Usi=1_hZ3FldrDUcS9dh

Correct. Because some of the older Vets didn't feel confident on the 2 "supercross" style jumps - totally fair - we were not allowed to clear them. But I did it in practice which was fun 😁✅️👍

This is exactly what took place in the 80's when TM Racing had 80CC dirt bikes lines up against the major 4 at that time of 250CC dirt bikes, and as the story goes, the 80CC dirt bikes were winning...and then right after that, TM racing had a importer that was bringing in the TM Racing 80cc dirt bikes, into the United States, I will not say it was only the bikes, that would be a comment that of course is untrue, as the rider has to be good, and when you take talent and a superior machine, well that is what wins races.
