Just search up mirror match seam and you'll know what I mean and don't just believe anything they tell you
@joshuapulido6171 Жыл бұрын
Just because they point a finger to any place in the counter and say there is the seam but since is so perfect you can't see it, bunch of layers jest pay attention to minute 2.04 no way anyone is going to place a seam there , and also the only way to perfectly match a seam is by getting 2 slabs that are book match or mirror match and definitely and obviously they dint do that, buch of layers but I know people like that, trying to look good laying to people that don't know...

I just got new Granite and it's called "Magma Gold". It's beautful however there are many places where there are shallow pits and/or duller places in it that really bother me. If you run a razor blade over it you can find places it will stop your blade. I'm thinking they didn't polish it good enough or go thru the grit process enough at the factory? Could that be an issue?

That's incredible. How does this work when you have a waterfall end which makes the stone more than 3 or 4 metres long and you need two separate slabs? Can it be matched?

Many people recently argue heavily about the material for the kitchen countertop. We will show them this video in order to help them make decision. Anyway, I really appreciate the video.

What’s the up keep on the leather finish? Does it have to be sealed more often than polished? Is it true the black granites do not need to be sealed at all because they are more dense? Is it hard to write on that finish or roll dough out on it?
@CrowleysGraniteTV3 жыл бұрын
Great questions. While black granite has a tight grain, it still has pores and needs to be sealed. The leather finish ranges on material from aggressive to mild. Depending on the slab/material, there will be a range in the severity of the leathering. Most people love the leathered feel and have zero issues with baking or everyday use of the countertops.

Can you add a piece on the side of an existing granite counter top to make it look like waterfall?
@CrowleysGraniteTV3 жыл бұрын
Typically, a waterfall edge has a 45-degree miter on them. This allows both pieces to come together almost perfectly and hides the seam on the top edge. Also, it depends on what your current overhang is at the end of your counter. Stone is usually 1.25" thick. You can add a stone panel under the current stone counter overhang (as long as it is more than 1.25") but the line where they will most likely be more noticeable.

Unfortunately, we don't have the information available on the tile used because we only performed the countertop installation on this particular job.

Lol minute 1:31 you put a cristallo and "not milled" and than a quartz, anyone on the business would know this example is wrong. Also on the video you're problaly using the wrong blade to cut the cristallo.
@CrowleysGraniteTV5 жыл бұрын
Hi Milton! Thanks for the comment. The example you are referring to was done intentionally to show the dramatic difference possible with stone...and these two materials show it best for video purposes. We encourage people to look at these details when selecting material and talk more about that in our video titled "Consider the feel". We were not using the wrong blade for cutting Cristallo. We have different blades for different materials and choose them appropriately.

For all the people complaining that this video doesn't show how to fix a fallen sink, you are missing the point. If you've had a company install a granite counter top using just the adhesion method (silicone) then there IS NO repair that's permanent. The only way to have a permanent and fail-proof install is to have it done right the first time. Grooves cut in the granite while it is still in the granite shop is the ONLY right way to install under-mount sinks. I come across this all the time as a plumber. BEFORE you put your money down to a granite installation company, get it in writing that they will use the clips with grooves cut into the stone, not epoxied onto the stone.

Well said. Thank you for the comment and support.

Our granite countertop and SS sink were installed with a non-grooved/probably epoxied clip system. While I would never have stood on the sink, it did get loaded with pots, pans, and dishes for up to 18 people over the years. After about 11-12 years the sink separated and now I'm looking for a repair. Can the old screw sets be drilled-out and replaced with new epoxy ones? What is the best epoxy to use?
@CrowleysGraniteTV6 жыл бұрын
Every situation is different. Not knowing your exact situation you might try using the method the installers used in this video. Block the sink into place by using the cabinet sidewalls and glueing the flange to the stone again. Using something like DAP Kwik Seal (waterproof seal) would work well on the flange. Good luck!

This video is stupid they used wood blocks when advertising a different mounting system two guys for a stainless steel that's how these companies rip people of 👎👎👎👎
@CrowleysGraniteTV6 жыл бұрын
When repairing another companies failed sink installation, we have limited options for reattaching the sink. Using our clip method is not possible after the job has been installed. The "clip holes" are drilled in the shop and can't be done on the job site (especially on a counter that has been installed). We no longer repair other companies sink failures. The only companies "ripping people off" are the ones NOT installing the sink correctly the first time. Best of luck to you and your sink repair.

@CrowleysGraniteTV7 жыл бұрын
Using our clip system, we don't have sink failures. We don't repair other companies sink failures anymore. We used to charge an hourly rate when we did. Depending on where you live, the hourly rate can range widely.
