Great vid, what tooth pinion gear did you use, and would you change tooth count to make it drive different now that you've used it a while?

It is an rtr truck, used the stock pinion gear. Can't remember the tooth count. Happy with how it's geared. Nice slow crawl in low gear, and enough wheel speed in high gear.

Yes. There good right out of the box., but definitely benefit from some mods.

@@sosonhrc6306 cool thanks. I actually grabbed one off eBay. Suspension is messed up or a brand new box. Seller said they accept refunds, but tried to tell me they had to send me new shocks and oil??? What the, I'm not comfortable with that situation, right so eBay is refunding, I'll be getting a new one from Amazon... Already got a few cosmetic upgrades. Need to learn how to work on my own rig

What is overdrive?

Changed the gears in the front axle so the front tires spin a little faster than the rears. Helps with turning and climbing over stuff.

what are your specs again, I love the axial line but am new and looking to upgrade the weaker stock motor.

An 0.50 size motor is a good upgrade. Get one with a motor plate so it bolts up to the transmission. And you might have to trim the battery tray for clearance.

It has vitavon shock towers and servo tray. Castle waterproof bec. Treal aluminum beadlocks and proline super swamper tires.

do you run all your shocks up side down? also, what springs are you using with those shocks? do you use any limiting straps on the front or rears?

I run some upside down. Gives a little more clearance at the top where the tires rub. Currently soft springs rear and medium in the front. Not running any limit straps.

You have to modify the suspension, you can’t just leave it stock and not expect to roll. You wanna get it lower to the ground and a softer suspension, also remove the foams in the tires and put brass bead locks on. Mine will damn near climb a wall, but everything is brass except axles with a furitek combo.
