My friends and I skated in the late 90s-2005. We just picked up skating again a couple years ago, and coming back to see that one of the OG boys was STILL skating after all this time, and also still putting out signature skates and supporting the sport so much....wow. I just couldn't believe it. I'd say the same for Jon Julio, I suppose. Respect.

I grew up skateboarding and never really tapped into the blade culture. But Franky Morales was the first person rider I seen that made blading look palatable to me. Dope to see of him again on here 💪🏿🙏🏿 I subbed to learn more about the culture 💯

Great video. Inspires me to try topsides again. I can do almost every grind, but no topsides. Question: My regular soul foot is the right foot, but it feels easier (safer?) to try topsides with my left soul foot. Is this normal?

How do you build the ankle strength to get better at them in the first place? What's a good way to be safe when you're jumping and you don't have the aim quite right? Cheers dude
@RollMinnesota20 күн бұрын
Incremental progress to 90 degree ledges: rails, boxes, ledges. Working on stalls also helps build strength and muscle memory.
@jorpese120 күн бұрын
On one leg and bending over, pass one weight from one hand to the other. Or stay on one leg standing up or stay like that for increasingly longer periods, once you're stronger, try the same closing your eyes. Alternatively, the same exercise but this time standing on a BOSU. You can revolve a weight around your head or pass it from hand to hand or if you are extra strong closing your eyes.

Thanks for this video! I have begun to start working on Topsides on ledges and I think you make great tutorial videos! For me, it's almost less scary trying them on a square ledge instead of a rail. When I roll up to a rail most of the time I get a fear paralysis feeling and I am unable to jump which is quite frustrating.
@RollMinnesota19 күн бұрын
We've all been there, just with different tricks and different obstacles. The fear paralysis is super frustrating and takes experience to overcome. You have to learn how to stop thinking, which is really counterintuitive.
