Amalgam mods on primary & secondary for movement. Forms of DR(2-3) and 1 form of status cleansing(hearty nourishment, rolling guard, Carnis mandible set), Molt Aug & Eff, Augur mods(80%), Galv mods, corrupt mods, at least 2 elements per weapon. Dont be shy on Building a variety of types of melee weapons(Xoris, Nami Solo, & Hate), Crit focus almost everything besides Zariman weapons. Use your companions to offload set bonus mods(Vigilante, Gladiator, Augur, Shivering Contagion). An these are just some notes.

if you just play a tank frame like hildryn you can get threw almost all steel path missions way easier. not dieing comes first unless your nuking the tile in 1 second for the difficult stuff. there's ALOT of good tank style warframes.

I think u are over-kill for SP, I mean, u don't need all that, base sp is really easy already. Slap in a dmg buff helminth and your caliban set-up could go to lvl cap cascade run, I would recommend furis incarnon instead of sicarus or laetum tho. If u really want a most comfiest loadout then I'd recommend saryn + ocucor (with augment), building for magtox (make sure your multishot is at 4. might need a riven to do so) + nourish weapon platform build on saryn, base sp she kills everything (the build will falldown til lvl 1k or so, but the best for any level corpus, for grineer I recommend electric viral and change helminth to roar).

remember that once you have arcanes you'll swap off serration and hornet strike on most weapons

I'm not judging you, but you actualy just skipped the entire aspect of the game by doing that. Is not like you "cant do that", but at my vision this is just boring(?) And before you think "Wow, a guy that never spend money telling me this things etc etc...", Yes, i spend money on warframe, and yes i didnt only buy cosmetics and that kind of stuff, but no, i didnt use my platinum for buy mods fully upgraded, legendary cores, insane rivens etc... Although, i used my platinum to buy warframes and weapons primes, because im lazy and i dont like to grind for relics and open them, and having a content you dont like is totaly fine, but when you start buying all that stuff to be stronger, you skip a lot of contents together, like the arbitrage where you get the galvanized ones, this content became useless to you because you will not need the mods anymore, and also wont need the endo and both you get at the same place. Everyone have a different way to have fun in Warframe, but i think everyone need / like to grind something, because at the end of the day, the game turns about that, and is like i said, is not like you "cant", but carefull to do that in Everything, because you can easily get bored of the game that way, and all the money, plat and time you spend will be useless. Just by seeing your video, i can tell you skiped Eidolon and events for Energize, skipped arb, skipped a lot of augment from steel path and some good grind in Zariman... And also, see what platinum can make to an account is impressive btw.

in SP there isn't a need for all that shield, it'll be gone in seconds. get damage mitigation like adaptation or rolling guard(i see your adaptation already maxed out, i personally prefer rolling guard but its up to you), switch out redirection and use shield gating with your augur reach ,i'd probably go equilibrium instead of energy nexus, you already have energy regen on calibans 1 it'll give you more survivability but still keep a good energy income from orbs. good luck tenno.

One thing that I would never buy with plat is riven. Not a necessity, not more convenient, and not fun. Farming your own riven and getting that high of yes I got a Godly roll just feels. Buying it outright ruins the experience.

I think it's legit to play the game to make plat. There are people with hundreds of thousands of them, I'm doing fine with 20. Personally my goal is to reach to MR30, so I've been doing lots of things to get frames and weapons. Unlocking steel path is truly essential, glad you did that. If you don't have them, get Dante and Gyre ASAP. Two of the most powerful frames available with very straightforward farming

4k plat? Pretty cheap

I had a bit shy of a thousand hours and Dropped out a bit after Fortuna. My Mastery rank was 16. I also bought the 4k plat at 75% at some point. I'd actually gotten it awhile back because I had been logging on daily to get it but I had stopped playing at that point. I was just shy of 900 log in days. Before that point. I bought 370 plat at 50% off, and a Steam deal called Vigor. Woa. I didn't buy that on a sale? and it was 21CDN. What was this? 500 plat, plus a few goodies. Was it really that much? Says it was but I don't feel like I had 500 plat. That's a fair amount, and I didn't buy more warframe slots? Well, I know that my plat was over 4k so I hadn't even spent all the original money before the 4k plat with the 75% discount. -My credit reserve was around 5 million after getting into the index. Honestly, the money can go fast. Just the guild weapons, and the special materials to build them, are all costing 15k each. -The star chart was a priority for me, as were the quests. I didn't spend any times in the open worlds though. -I spent almost nothing. I had very few warframes with Excalibar being my primary,.. Even with 1250 hours, and barely using Excal of late, it's still at amost 60% of my total playtime. -I never traded prime gear for plat. Farming was mainly to buy Baro gear. I still don't have a single unlocked riven. I do have a lot of mods though. A lot of the basic golds, and a lot of primaries. Most of the primaries are not fully leveled up, but a few are. I spent a lot of time just doing defense missions and gathering endo. Probably not the best way to do it. -I did farm for the occasional high end items. Galatine Prime still holds up in today's meta so it's my main melee. I joined a guild too. I actually went back to the same guild. iFlynn is open to all new players, and doesn't have any particular expectations. -I haven't really upgraded any warframes other than excalibar and excal umbra. I put two into iranos because of the no shield missions. One into loki, for stealth missions... Yea, just those four, plus I also did the orikin reactor for a rhino for the index (the ones with forma, obviously, have the reactors installed too). -I never traded to get plat. Still haven't. -Other warframes were frost and... was that it? Excal, Excal Umbra, Loki, Frost, Inaros. I think that was all of them. You start with 2 warframe slots, I bought 2 more from the starter plat, and I guess I got one more slot somewhere. I probably bought it, but I still kept a reserve. I was always very leary of spending plat. -I spent a bit of money on some cosmetics. Mainly the operator. She needed a proper outfit. After coming back and getting 4k plat. -I have bought a few primes so far. Titania Prime was a priority. I had the original but hadn't realized how good the warframe was for mobility, but I don't want to upgrade non primes so I bought the prime, along with prime rhyno for index (there are better ones, but I'm used to rhyno). I mean, I had both the base versions but I don't want to invest in non-primes. I started building warframes who's parts I had gathered. I'm especially using Hydroid Prime right now. I currently have 31 warframes. Mainly from parts I had lying around, and going through the guild. -I bought an aura forma 3 pack. Not sure how to get that normally. Probably a bit of a frivolous purchace, but I wanted Rhino to use enemy detect for index, but the polarity is not ideal, and I also ended up using it for the eidolon hunts, so I wanted to switch it around. -Most of my time has been spent with leveling up new warframes and weapons, along with getting focus, which was just too much of a grind beforehand. You can get affinity faster now, and I got some 5.5% focus lenses at some point in my inventory. I currently have maxed out one tree and am working on the next two. -I am working on standing for the free zones. I mined a ton to get the gems to get the conversion of sentient cores so that I could get standing with the quills to finally buy an upgrade for the mote amp. I could then start farming the giant. I did a mission with only 2 players and we took it down together. I really feel that was my first real contribution for doing that. Ran out of ammo several times, so I got an ammo replenish pack to stop that if I needed it. I got to max standing for the city, but stopped with the quills after I found out I needed 20 shards, so I'm stuck on level 3 quills for now. -I went into the duvox paradox, because I found out about the circut, which gives a direct way to collect warframes, I got my first one, which is... frost. I forgot I dropped the regular version for the prime. -Currently working on the infested freezone to get the consumption ability. I just got to level 3, and should have enough standing to buy it today. -I got the health and armor arcanes for the operator, and maxed them out, and gained a few other mods from hunting, but don't really have anything much in regards to that so far. -I'm down to around 3k plat. I haven't bought any mods, or arcanes. I'm buying slots. Tons of slots. No more throwing out weapons after mastering them. No more holding back on getting warframes. Endo continues at the normal pace. I can add the treasure, since I can finally do that damn mission with Titania. Finally leveled up the anti-knockdown mod to max. -Currently, have not unlocked the Steel Path. I'm not confident in handling high level stuff so I'm just focusing on the grind and mastery. I came back on Oct 13th, so almost a month I've been playing. Played 200+ hours extra. It doesn't really feel like a ton for the time put in. You were already maxxed out on slots? There are hundreds of weapons in the game. I just spent 600 to get another 100 weapon slots because I am now starting a run of all the guild weapons, a lot of which need forma, so I have to get to farming more of that. I got 41 but that won't cut it as a lot of these guild weapons need one. I want to grind at least one warframe or 2 weapons a day. I see you bought a lot of loadout slots too. You only get 1 for every 2 mastery levels. Anyway, I wouldn't say I've got a warframe that is great for end content. I don't consider myself a good player, no matter how many hours I've put in, and I don't believe I can handle steel path at all, so I haven't bothered reaching for it. Currently, I'm still just raising mastery, standing with various groups, and focus.

Its also bad in naval where you have maps where bluewater ships can just straightup shoot into the coastal ship spawn. And its not rare for you to just die especially if you have a larger and slower coastal ship.

Something I wanted to say was that, rivens can still be very expensive, its just different weapons now. So when you were playing many years ago, the meta was completely different from what it is now. Also with power creep older weapons get out classed by things like incarnons. So I could go on trade chat and see someone for example selling a torid riven for 1k plat. So its not that rivens are worthless, its just we have gotten better weapons, and the meta has changed.

Start playing at 2013 and left @ 2019 mr24. Return dec 2023, by july2024 i maxed rank mr34. Used a lot of plat to catchup (mostly fashion +/-6k plat). I'm just lucky someone bought my glaive riven for 9k plat when i returned.

Title would be more I used 3000 platinum to skip the grind, most things you mentioned could be gained relatively easily or weren't really needed like arcane energize. As for the earlier comments there's no wrong way to play the game, anything you enjoy doing is the right thing to do.

Power to you for having disposable income to make use of a discount, but I will say with over 1k hours myself, you've done way more than what was necessary. Part of the Warframe experience is the grind. If you can't bring yourself to sit and grind through the level 20 and 30 missions with what you've got, then I wouldn't predict you to actually stick with the game for grinding late game content such as Steel Path, Netracells, and Archon Hunts. You mention using platinum to skip grinding a Necramech, but doing that grind manually is one of the things that really got me to appreciate Deimos. That grind, however tedious, can absolutely be just as enjoyable and rewarding -- or even more so -- than any late game content that you might encounter. And in the event that more late game content is introduced later, I'm more inclined to believe that you've conditioned yourself into buying whatever you're supposed to grind to access it. The best advice I believe that I could give to a new player is to slow down, and take your time. It's not a race to reach any certain content, and it's almost never in your interest to start with a fresh account with how much there can be to do. As a side note, obtaining Grendel (not the prime version) recently reminded me of when I was just starting out with no mods nor strong weapons. Back then, every mission felt like an accomplishment, which is something I miss sometimes. The amount of patience and strategy that was necessary to employ makes simply completing those missions solo more of a reward than any of the components I received.

let me preface this with: there is no wrong way to play a videogame if you are enjoying it / enjoyed playing it. don't to worry so much. i think the title is a little misleading. your "mistakes" arnt mistakes its the niche that you specialised in when the game was alot newer. You were equipped for a very different era of warframe. it had alot less content and the power scaling and the dynamic was different to what it is now. Alot of mods and weapons and frames were not released when you stopped playing. so even if you had *most* mods, you still would be missing allot of things that turn a bad weapon into a good weaon and a great weapon into a god tier weapon. your rivens make weapons better but arnt needed unless youre trying to play high level steel path content (400 - 1000) or level cap. Most players dont even have the steel path starchart completed or have most of the content completed. unless you are trying to level cap so even moderatly well modded weapons will get the job done. and on top of that damage was reworked many times in the past few years so even if you were "well equipped" it doesnt transfer over the same. you get alot of good stuff from quests and will more or less be able to solo steel path. and they are alot better than they used to be ( aside from a few that still havent been updated like titania's quest) anyways if u read all the way i wish you good luck and i hope you enjoy the game!

I am MR12 and i have 873 hours play I'm back after a 4 year break and now I'm in great demand, everything I've developed is no longer relevant and I have to go through the whole farming process again. I think the goal I should set is to play to sell for platinum because I will need it to get some weapon mods to make it easier for me to farm. And i wish once to feel what is like to be good in 130 level, I start having difficulties from level 80 and up. I'm still farming to collect parts to build a set and sell it. There are probably methods for making platinum quickly, but you have to be in the know to be the first to offer it, and if you're not pumped up, you'll have a hard time farming where it's valuable

cool insight and its neat to see what plat can do for your warframe run but i wanna mention here incase anybody feels this way, even in the state you were in with super underleveled gear/mods, you do NOT need to spend ANY plat to get through not only base starchart but the entire steel path one as well. once you get even a somewhat good build going on a warframe and a weapon, you can solo pretty much any content in the game barring some annoying modes/bosses. i only mention this because you put it as you "fixed" your account, but imo in the state you described your account was never broken, you just specialized in one field and decided to get into the other. you cannot play this game wrong lol, cool insight again tho v interesting to hear about

i'm honestly just confused with the changes to the rooikat 105, MTTD, and the chieftain mk10. The chieftain seemed completely unnecessary since most things outperform it at its BR its only good aspect is the turret armor which in my experience is more situational than anything. But my main confusion is with the rooikats since aside from the autoloader they are practically identical yet the 105 is going up to 9.7 while the autoloading MTTD is going to 9.3 only. Hell with an Aced crew the 105 will have the same reload as the MTTD so i don't really understand that change at all.

disagree. Vehicles have two things that say whether it's 'good' or not. That is the skill required to play it well, and the skill required to kill it. The KV-1B/E is hard to play for noobs because of it's terrible gun, and very hard to kill for noobs because of it's good armour. This doesn't make it a good tank, if you come up against anyone with skill, you will be killed. In a 1V1, with a jumbo vs a M4A2 (76) or T-34, with two equally skilled players, i'd bet on the M4A2 or T-34 if they were skilled players, and the jumbo if they were bad. There isn't really a way to definitively say one tank is definitively better than another since there will almost always be an argument to where the other tank will win. Honestly i think the only way to know what's a good tank and what isn't is to be experienced enough in the game to just know whether the benefits of one tank are better than another on average, and then you're getting into the weeds of map dependence and things like that.

You are also forgetting one important thing imo: People SAY they are doing well in tank X but most of the time they run negative KD / KPS but have like one match every so often where they do well and ONLY that is their benchmark while ignoring the other matches. That said, i don't 100% agree with what you're saying. Let's just take the M1 Abrams example (10.3), especially that one. People will usually say its bad, has a bad shell, no armor... Which is true BUT, if you are REALLY good, its one of if not the best 10.3 in the game because of its ridiculous mobility and gun handling. What does that mean? Quite simple: It's a VERY high skill floor tank, with an even higher skill ceiling. Simply saying vehicle X is good or bad is just not enough. There is more to it than black and white.

Totally agree with you on the distasteful abuse of decals; the community on the other hand... I'm convinced it's foetid: I've seen shorts featuring player made swastikas flooded with comments on how it's made, lobbies of vehicles plastered in Zs and Vs, Nazi usernames and squadrons aplenty. You are kind of a "giant dumbass" because skill sxpression makes a lot of sense. Because some vehicles have different skill floors and ceilings than others, in case of some vehicles like some french 6th era, i can imagine players that dont even have enough skill to do anything in them. Thats why skill expression is important, because of vehicles with stupidly high skill ceiling, they will be garbage in jands of most people, but they can smash teams by themselves in proper hands, that why I personally think some vehicles need to be kept slightly underpowered to keep balance. But overall, my argument has much more limited applicability than yours so take that win this time.
