yo uso este amplificador en España y me vale para tocar con cualquier banda, es muy versatil pero los FX se quedan algo escasos. si le pones una buena eq, un compresor, delay, rever y chorus analogico, follas fijo.

This man is one of the most under rated players of all time, he even made Billy Idol sound good :) ok I know Idol is a ahole but listen to the instrumental tracks on Rebel Yell, White Wedding in fact the whole album (just tune out Idol) it's ALL Steve except for the drums, no synth keyboards that's all Stevens guitar, a genius.

seems to me every time I see a demo of any switchblade product it sounds stale with no bass. I don't think it's my home speaker as I have seen many other demos that deliver a sound that is acceptable. I own a 10 inch speaker tubemiester 18 and it sounds beautiful. it has great bass and mids. it sounds lush with chorus pedal. the people that are doing reviews for this amp are not doing it any favors. when I heard the deluxe 40 with that rabea guy that however sounded great!

Large footswitch is good... ppl miss the intent of this amp and it is to supply in one box all the stuff u need and is programmed in... not need to set up pedals and dial in sounds at every gig..takes 1hr alone before sound check... do this 10x and u see what a pain it is. With this my settings are programmed into on footswitch big that it doesnt fly aound the stage ... i used this amp for nearly 5yrs.now im gigs...and dont take my.mesa dual rectifier as well im not imprtant enough to have road crews set up so i can waltz in and just start playing before a gig. Im willing compromise on sound limitations a bit. On stage a lot depends on how you dial in settings and set up a rig more than how boutique your amp is.. in many cases the venue totally messes with the overall sound anyway...so i rather a amp which requires less of my time to set up and.more time to get the soundcheck right

Typically H&K; they sound modern, with absolute no heart in it, nothing special. I've never heard a H&K amp, which I would like and buy.

+Dean Green I would'nt buy a H&K amp. They have no soul in sound, a lot of gimmicks, switches, modes. I have tried some, but they are not for me.

Really? I've played through every amp imaginable .. what I've witnessed in my life is that it's not necessarily the amp or the guitar, but the magic emanating from the fingers of the player .. Peace

You my friend really need to try an ENGL. Now I am just assuming you havent played one and are playing metal and talking about dual rectifiers. I personally HATE these amps. I find them to be sooo muddy and loose when it comes to low end and gain staging. Now if I am completely wrong about the amps you have tried and style you play in my assumptions I apologise. But if I am correct I HIGHLY recommend trying ANY engl amp, but my personal favs are the Powerball and Savage. I just bought this head two days ago (HUGHS&KETTNER SWITCHBLADE 100 HEAD) and I haven't had a lot of time on it yet but I absolutely LOVE this thing. It has EVERYTHING I have personally been looking for in an amp ; TIGHT AF LOW END AND GAIN, very sensitive eq's, easy to dial it in with another guitarist and bassist and have it still cut through and not get lost in the mix, and all the effects that I personally will ever use (not a huge effects guy). The only outboard gear needed for this bad boy in my opinion is a noise gate and a tuner, no external EQ necessary. I highly recommend this amp. I used to own a 5150 og block letter as well and I wasn't very impressed with it all, I bought it just on the fact of how many bands use them live and the whole thing of it just kind of being a go to amp for metal. But I am assuming all these bands and dudes playing these heads must have tons of pedals/rack gear and or mods done to them to make them sound good. I found it loose and grating.

On his EQ settings, bass are all the way up? does the amp lacks low end thump?
@k7climbing
@k7climbing 5 жыл бұрын
No. The Bass knob might look like it's cranked, but it's probably not saved into the pedal as such. All adjustments only take effect if that specific setting is changed. It doesn't reset all when you start moving things around. Been using a switchblade 100 with 4x12 cab for 10 years now. The Bass can never be at 100% - WAY too much bass for my liking. It's good at around 70%.

If you listen to the new Black Spirit 200 they just brought out, I still think this sounds better. Of course, that is solid state and I think they used a preamp similar to the Coreblade, but that is just a guess.

The amount of gain on this is insane. It seriously gives Mesa a run for the money. I just picked up a used 212 switchblade for 450!!! All because the previous owner blew the speakers. I installed 2 eminence from the 60s. Never. Been. Happier.

Great guitar player! Great little amp too. I had mine for almost 4 years now and its like a million bucks tool. along the way I bought a gdec 30 but for some reason I find myself using the 15 watt more. the only thing is the phrase/transpose is shorter just like a few secs. when youre trying to hit solo. hopefully the newer once are longer. still 5 *
