I would love to adopt but I don't have a support system I'm at odds with my nephew and he lives with me. I don't want to put out but he's in my way of adopting. I don't have good family history. My mediate family wants me to have biological kids but I don't like sex and I'm not romantic enough for a woman but I love children especially boys. I don't really care to raise girls I don't hate them just don't think I'll do good raising little girls 😢

You are right! I put my life to raise an ungrateful child who turned out to be disrespectful, lazy, rude, manipulative and selfish. I gave her the best childhood with gifts and holidays in great neighborhoods and great schools. Took her to all the doctors and dentists appointments, and I made sure she made it to college. Her younger brother turned out to be respectful, generous, hardworking, compassionate and I will bless him to be successfully in life. Never again!😢😢😢

I am trying to adopt my cousin from Peru. The Mother mostly likely wants to give up custody but I have no idea where to start. Would I travel to Peru and go through this process?

You do not have to be a Christian to adopt a child. You would know that if you really spent any time looking into the adoption process.

It is sad that so many children are waiting for families. If there was a way to streamline the home study process and cut the time down from 6 or 7 months to 2 or 3 months, it might help bring in more adoptive families. I just consider it as what I need to do to adopt, but I can see some people being intimidated or put off by the process. We don't ever want to place children in bad homes, but we may have gone overboard in screening families that want to adopt.

As an atheist I wanna foster kids because I see so many teens homeless and displaced, and would love to give them a home. I don't care if they're religious or not personally. I can't judge other people praying, but I don't see how praying actually does anything for anyone except a religious person. Not trying to be rude or anything. I think foster kids being traumatized is the default expectation. Having worked around kids though, I expect a few of them to be traumatized, and the ones who are in foster way more likely if not doubly traumatized. I don't know why someone would get into fostering without knowing some comforting tactics.

Former CPS reunification worker….there NEEDS to be a step in between a call to report and taking of a child. I don’t know what that would look like yet.., but I’m definitely thinking about it…

In my early 20 `s I sat in parking lot in Fremont ? near Niles? To scared or? to go into the medical building ..where I had an appointment to get counseling before I got a vasectomy . When making the appointment over the phone ..the person as if I had a girl friend? I answer NO. So sitting out in that parking lot -I justify to myself - because I was young and had to girl friend or sexual activity going on in my life ..That they would talk me out of it . .. So I never got a vasectomy .. Now I just think of how different my life would of been . Maybe I met a liked person and we look into adoption ..and go thru all that ?

Just « amen ». When you enter parenthood with that in mind and remembering that they are not yours to begin with, and that is a duty and a privilege to raise future responsable m, children of God, adult, ‘You see your child-ren in another light.

"Denying their application because of their Christian beliefs" okay but if your "Christian beliefs" cause you to abuse a child, then yeah... you don't need to be caring for any kids.

My five month old step granddaughter was just taken by this same CPS a week ago. She fell of the adult bed and was hurt, small bruise ...and taken to hospital, she is OK. She is a very petite girl, weighted only 9 lbs at 9 months. They are charging my son and babies mother with child endangerment and neglegt (a minor felony) They swatted the house last Friday and seized all our phones. we have hired the same lawyer. These people are dangerous.
