Sorry, Oscar, but the only Bachata element I see is the basic steps, everything else is Brazilian zouk. You need to tell the truth. Bachata is originally from the Dominican Republic, and they are very proud of it. The dance and the music have a very definite structure. Bachata has gone through evolution within DR. Sensual was invented in Spain because they disliked Bachata because they disliked the music. Europeans behaving like coloners once more, appropriating latin culture. It is not right. Call it 'sensual' and we will accept it, don't tell people you are teaching bachata when you know you are not. Sensual is derived from a fake zouk, hence the moves. And I say fake zouk because it is Brazilian zouk, which has a history similar to sensual. Zouk is originally from the Caribbean, the French Antilles and made popular in the Caribbean, by haitians. Brazilians modified it to look more like Lambada. At least they didn't call it sensual zouk. Bachata originated from Bolero, and they did not call it "sensual Bolero," did they?

Yoooo I read your statement in the description and I'm considering doing the exact same thing concerning FL or TX. (I live in the province of Qc, our measures are usually the same). The dance community has been hurting a lot since the beginning of all this.. I traveled more for bachata in 2019 (my 1st year) than ever since. ( I've been to Dance X studio too! at least twice! :D )
