Hi Justin, if you're sending out the signal to 3 different DA Convertors, how do you manage to send the signal from 3 DA Convertors alternating to your analog equipment ?. Hope you understand what I mean. Cause only one DA Convertor at a time can feed the analog equipment chain - stereo out/stereo in !? So how do you switch between Convertors ? thanks a lot for the tutorial - very inspiring. Best Michael ps.: almost forgot this - I have just installed your recording chain from a Reference track back to track 1 and also the 2nd Reference track for RAW playback. There is a significant latency when switching to the RAW track and back, cause that track isn't going through the outboard and the DA/AD Convertors with their latencies.

Do you have someone who can tell us how to use this without using all the terminology that beginners dont understand? I just want to get the recording up and cut it and lower volumes that are too loud and be told simple steps without all the technical jargon. Cant follow it.

Steinberg's setup process is a nightmare. I bought a YAMAHA AG08 audio interface for podcasting, and the manual told me to download Steinberg Wavelab Cast. When I entered the redeem code, I was shocked to find I had to download not one, but five different pieces of software: Steinberg Download Assistant, Steinberg Library Manager, Activation Manager, eLicenser Control Center, and WaveLab Cast 2. This is incredibly frustrating and user-unfriendly. I can't imagine anyone wanting to waste time learning to navigate all these programs!

My reason fro purchasing this was to add tags to long single track mixes. I have mixes of about 2 hours and was successfully able to mark the locations of these songs on the waveform. I want to export to itunes so when it plays you can see the name of the track that is playing in the timeline. I still cant figure this out. I thought this program could do this. Can you help?

It would be fantastic if I could connect this via USB-C from my Zoom L8 into the host + 3 guests session. It would also be super cool if I could have a way to load the SD card session (if no direct multi track recording) and have the tracks split into a preset session.

I have individual tracks stacked above each other in a montage for mastering a song. I want to export each track as a separate wav file, can it be done? I have tried and it keeps rendering as a complete mixed file.

Just bought it minutes ago with the cool discount it has because of the 40th anniversary........ I have so high hopes for this.... I hate using Ozone or Plugins. . . . . . it feels like very light superficial solution.... so this seems like a well thought mastering dedicated software .... I have a few days of learning and hopefully passing the learning curve. I'm grabbing a beer now, and then let's get to work 🍻

I have test the output filters in WL 12, I wonder why I get different sound when I have output filter on a reference track and then same filter listening to the direct monitoring going out to my analog chain?, nothing is inserted in the analog chain. If I listen with same output filter when I have record thru my analog chain with nothing inserted it sounds the same as the reference track. Best/Mathias

hi mix,, I suppose anything is possible, but for me personally, Wavelab as its own stand alone DAW would leave me working way too hard, its just a completely different design,, on the other hand as a complement to Cubase or as a stand alone audio editing workstation, it is amazing...

hi Gerald,, thanks,,,,,,,,I used to have Wavelab Elements and thought why would I need the full version,, but it turned out for me that I kept hitting walls with just elements and so the full version was what I moved to...

@@GeraldWoodruff hi Gerald,, thats actually not a bad option, and as I think about it, thats exactly what I did,, buy elements and upgrade to full at a sale. But speaking on Wavelab for a second,, it is such a unique program, and it compliments Cubase so well, as it has been referred to many times it is the Swiss Army Knife of Audio Production. I use it mostly to master my final mixes from Cubase,, and it does that job amazingly,, but then there is the batch processor, and spectral editing, the way it adds meta data to your songs,,, its just an amazing program and the funny thing about it is until you use it, one would be inclined the think,, what does this program do. All I know is it is now an essential part of my workflow and an extension of what Cubase can do alone. andrew
