For the door contraption you probably could have gotten it by using warm static on a chest but it would have taken awhile
@EveryTimeV213 күн бұрын
First, the alchemist always has a warm static, and he should be easy to get to (yes, Susa is easy). Secondly, slime glands are better to use. You can make as much liquid pools as you want, anywhere.
@Co60-Ni6014 күн бұрын
Fun thing about this is you don’t need salt rivers you just need a dram of slime and the ability to cook. When you do it gives you spit slime and you can cover the whole map and as the probability of transmutation is rolled for each tile of liquid it gives much better odds. The amount of warm static you can pour on a map (for whole map effect transmutation) is 4 so it’s not a waste to cover a map in liquid. You can transmute any item into almost anything and the maximum amount of items a single pour of warm flux can transmit is 4 at a time (stacks of 4 of the same item are counted as 1 item so if you pour warm static on 4 wood arrows you get one new item and have 3 arrows left over) it’s easy to farm vary good items like zetachrome and cryosteal as well as black mots and quantum dots you can even get a 10 credit cybernetics card from wood arrows (it can take a couple rounds and if something terns into food it’s never becoming anything but food or a corpse)

keep making these videos. I love caves of qud but it is rare to find ANY content, even more so advanced in game. I was afraid it was impossible to girsh hunt, but now i have a plan.

Lack of content was the reason I started making Qud videos in the first place. No plans on quitting, though this series is winding down there's still some fun to be had, probably gonna do a few smaller permadeath runs until the game releases. Also, after I made this video I looked more deeply into finding the Nephilim and there are a few things you can do to make the search easier. I'll be going over it in an upcoming video.

This was an odd one. I skipped the town quests until I finished Golgotha, and honest to god that boar lair was worse than Golgotha. Also the historical sites were all full of Seekers of the Sightless Way. I don't think there was a safe route to pick, especially with the starting toughness so low

Had to fight a dromad caravan that was mind controled by Sightless eye. They were all hard to kill but omg that Great Salt Back was insane. It took me 5 minutes of just besting on him to die, and if i couldnt stun lock him he would do 90% of my hp in damage on the first hit.
@BenjaminSpencer-m1kАй бұрын
The Nectar drops give a 25% chance to increase all attributes by 1. This is rolled with the seed so precog and save scumming cant change results but what yoy can do is save before you change the eaters necter to drop so if the drop dont work you can get the attribute or mutation point from the enjector

how do you line the NPC up so nicely, when I clone them they all try to stay together as a ball shape and always moving back and forth make it really a pain to manage.
@sproinsАй бұрын
Helps if you clone them all kind of away from where you want them to move, but not so far that they can't hear you. Move the original first then tell them to stay. Stay in one spot yourself and move them all using L (look). Direct them to move, then tap period key once (or mutli-tap numpad 5) to pass time until they get in place. Also try to move them so that they don't have to cross paths with any other clones to get into their spot. You can do this by directing them to move NEAR their final spot first, then easing them in if you have to. If you DO have wanderers, it also might help to move them closer to the original as they tend to not want to move as much that way. Like I said, it's a bit finicky, just play around a bit you'll get it.

@@joshuajohnston90 Glad my vids have been helpful. I absolutely fell in love with this game but there wasn't much youtube content when I started which is one of the reasons I decided to make this series. Not much of a discord user, but feel free to leave questions in my comment sections, I'm by no means an expert but I can at least try to share what I've learned in my measly 300 or so hours in Qud.

Totally agree. Relics being completely random and unmoddable makes them maybe useful very early game or extremely rare instances where they actually work with your build. A good idea, but poorly implemented IMO.

Hey brother, just wanted to let you know that I just bought the game & have been following along with this guide as I play. I'm right up to this point in my playthrough, copied your build and am having tremendous fun. I've finally stopped dying so often and am having an absolute blast. Your guide is perfect man, no spoilers so far and it's been just the right amount for me to have on in the background while I play. Then I re-watch when I'm taking a break and eating. Content is perfect, hope you end up doing more Qud things. I'm really looking forward to seeing the depths this game has to offer. I love roguelikes. Wanted to commend you on the job you're doing. RIP Spider mutant. I recall you saying you were somewhat new to Qud, if so getting to 41 is actually really good, most of my runs don't get past level 20 and I'm almost 300 hours in. And even at level 20 it is still rage-inducing when you die to something stupid.

@sproins it was infuriating because when I saw the historical site had them I went and prepared. I fought one hand to hand for like 500+ turns too. Then I came back way stronger and just... pop. Got me with all rockets even with a force field up. Not even poplymorphine is that bad lol.

Say, would you please reorder the playlist for this series? right now, it goes from 10 to 1 then 11. (edit: now it's 11 to 1, but it's still the same issue) I've been trying to watch, but I keep getting sidetracked when catching up from the beginning chronologically. Thanks.
@jeois4112 ай бұрын
LOL, thanks for updating, but now it's completely in reverse order, smh. I should have made my request clearer (e.g. "1 to 11"), but I thought it was easily understood. Reverse order (most recent first) basically renders the playlist useless for viewers who want to watch it chronologically from beginning to end. We can only "Loop" and "Shuffle" there is no option to start from the beginning and advance backwards. Our only options are to hope auto-play selects videos in order without a playlist or to make our own playlist. Sorry for the confusion.
@sproins2 ай бұрын
Hey so I didn't even see your first comment, I just now logged on and saw both of them. But I immediately changed sort order to "Date Published (Oldest)". As someone who has watched a lot of Let's Plays and playthrough series, I totally understand. In fact I used to have an browser add-on that would reverse playlists. Should have set it from the start, I think I used to back in the day, but honestly I kinda forgot. Should be fixed now, lmk if not.

Hello! It's nice to see content about CoQ. Nowadays I always starting in the desert, for eaters juice and fast XP. Mutations for help - burgeoning, lase, sunder. Rifle build is optional. For physical - frost ray, which is better for flattening dawngliders. For important skills - coocking, butchery for tails = extra water. Plus in the desert there are many legendaries.

Correction! 3:33 I said the bits next to a data disk's name is the bits you get if you disassemble it. While this is true for every other item with bits after their name, this is NOT true for data disks, the bit represent, as I said, what are required to craft the item. You cannot disassemble data disks. (I knew this at one point, but guess I just forgot).

Golgotha, like most caves/dungeons in CoQ is not so much a build or level check as it is a knowledge check. The game is difficult but IMO very fair IF you know what you're up against. Very rarely is there some BS unfair death, almost all of my deaths are my own fault for either not knowing game/enemy mechanics (which there are a lot to learn), or knowing exactly what to expect but playing too risky. Also, good luck on your character!

@sproins I am constantly saying "oh I have seen this trick before" like the three drop downs... yeah I have played video games before, drop downs are always cursed. But where most other games make you just fall for the trick in Qud I was able to give the game the finger and go around. I just hit Bethesda Susa and I am super glad I took a chance on a new mutation cause I got double muscles. (I had Precog as a choice but skipped it for DM because Precog is ultra cheese and kills the fun)
