Is this one really worth the effort saving it? It needs an enormous amount of parts and body work.
@StutzKustom10 ай бұрын
Probably and probably not. It’s already contributed several excellent near impossible to find parts to my complete Gentleman Jim and in that, has served its purpose.
@kitt2000car Жыл бұрын
If that was my car I would definitely try grafting the back of a hearse to it. Maybe make it removable. So you dont ruin the coupe.
@texjake3 Жыл бұрын
If possible just try to get it put back together as it was from the factory. Don’t make it a drag truck & don’t make it a short bed.

I think that the "Beau James" was a little bit more money than the "Gentleman Jim". Correct?
@StutzKustom Жыл бұрын
I don’t believe so, the Gentleman Jim had higher options unless you ordered a 454 in the Beau James, which you couldn’t get on a Gent Jim

Sheesh I feel like if the Ghost busters in universe expanded they’d get the Ecto series of vehicles from 1-10
@jacksprofessionalproductio94033 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’ve thought about that too. In my head canon, as the ghostbusters are planning to go nationally, they would be thinking “what’s a type of old car we can buy in large numbers and modify to use as fast responding/pursuit Ectomobiles?” I say they would buy ‘59 to ‘60 Chevy’s or early ‘60s Chryslers and dub them “Ecto-ceptors.” (Ecto Interceptors) And the standard Ecto-1’s would be more like big group transporters and be equipped with roof mounted proton canons.

@@jacksprofessionalproductio9403 good thinking, as someone already commented on here saying that a '59 coupe would be rare

Turned out good... I could see Egon driving that as a investigatory car when not actually needing the full on ecto 1... I started making my own and was hoping to take it to the debut but unfortunately it's at the mechanics with motor torn completely down...

Great job. Even getting this coupe is tough to get nowadays, let alone a 59' Miller Meteor Cadillac hearse/Ambulance
@jacksprofessionalproductio94033 жыл бұрын
A bit of good advice, when looking for these late 1950s and 1960s Cadillac ambulances, look around the internet for listings that have the owners phone number. Even though the listings may be old and the car is already sold, it’s at least worth giving the owner a call to fully know if the car is sold and so you don’t end up mistaking a old listing for a new one. Plus you get to hear a nice story about the car from the owner. The point is if you do that, you may discover that the seller could be a collector of Ambulances/Hearses. And I have found 2 fellas out on/near the East coast who collect Ambulances and Hearses for a living (years vary from the 1920s to 1990s). So I know who to go to if/when I’m ready to build an Ectomobile.

I’ve always thought of taking a ‘59 caddy and adding the miller meteor roof.
@jacksprofessionalproductio94033 жыл бұрын
😬I wouldn’t try it. That would cost more than what real Miller Meteors are worth. My best word of advice when looking for these ambulances/hearses: Look everywhere online Everyday; if you find listings (old or new) with the owner’s phone number, give them a call. If you’re lucky, the owner may be a collector of ambulances and/or hearses. Through that, I have found 2 guys out in the East that collect ambulances and hearses for a living.

This is the second Ectomobile conversion I have seen done on the standard ‘59 passenger chassis😂 Just enough proof that *ALL* 1959 Cadillacs will be forever attached to the Ectomobile! I’m also not really a fan of dressing up either
