I have this camera and think I know the answer as I've yet to do this yet. Will the camera allow me to take a Still Frame Picture while I'm in the Video Recording mode? If it is in fact a No, I believe that this is the only downfall of the camera.

I’m a chimney sweep, and what most of us want is a low price (under$600) 1080p tilt zoom camera with bright LED’s that can be dimmed. Must be corded with a stand up cord reel that will go up 50’ with rods (choice of rod connectors) that will connect wired not wifi to an iPhone or android phone or tablet and be able to record video and photos on the iPhone or android device, and be able to save them on the iPhone or android device. No bells, no whistles, no endoscope, borescope, no fancy case(we can make our own), no microphone, just a bare bones real 1080p inspection camera that is able to fit in 8x8 furnace flue’s from bottom up going in at almost 90 degree bends, 6” stainless steel liners, but also big enough to fit in 12x12 fireplace flue’s. Wohler, can “you” make that happen? If not I will find a way to make this vision happen and create a whole new line of video inspection cameras that are simple, cost effective, and durable for the industries.

Keep that wet kit to verify the accuracy of the electronic tester and to keep as a backup if the electronic tester goes wacky. Those electronic sensors are not trouble free folks..
