It really is incredible how something as just changing the inventory menu impacts inmersion. The old inventory just looks terrible. In an unrelated note, this is why I had a hard time with Dino Crisis, the shitty inventory menu. Glad they changed the menu of RE4 to the attache case. It makes a world of a difference.

As strikingly creative as some of the castle's rooms and setpieces can get, they do have a tendency to feel like time-consuming game padding on repeat playthroughs. 4-2 is probably the biggest offender, as while it is rather nice to have a last stand against our favorite villager Ganados, on the whole, it does seem like it's a tad longer than it needs to be. This is where I would offer praise to the Remake for trimming up the edges on this part of the game and bringing Luis along for the ride for both a refreshing change of pace and to build a greater bond with our Don Quixote.

Some of them seem to be utter gibberish, as none of these lines were pronounced correctly. But some that I can make out are: 1. Aquí está el arriate - Here is the border 2. Afuera verte - Outside I see you 3. Pendejo - F*ker 4. Afuera - Outside 5. Acercate - Get closer 6. Te voy a matar - I'm going to kill you 7. Mataré - I will kill

No voy a hacer la guia de nuevo, ya que 95% quedará igual. Pero lo que si voy a hacer es una guia de Ashley, para mostrar todas las estrategias para los que no tengan ese traje (los que juegan en Gamecube o los que estan jugando por primera vez en general)

@@andresruge9086 Mientras que hago la guía (tarda tiempo en grabar etc) puedes echar un vistazo a cualquier de mis partidas completas sin danyos que tengo en el canal, en ellos siempre juego sin el traje y puedes ver las estrategias que uso normalmente.

It's kinda crazy that every single change they made to this beta build was a stroke of genius. Attachment case, knife, kick animation, item pick up sound, button prompts, HUD Even tough I would still imagine this build to be fun to play.

Blue herbs were never in RE4 as far as I'm aware.

How strange, because I swear I've seen plenty of vids of re4 cut content, with most claiming that a few demos contained blue herbs, and the inventory menu screen was exactly like yours too....

@@Dortegagarcia11 Perhaps extremely early builds of the game, but this was the demo that was used after E3 and does not contain blue herbs.

Hi again! I indeed found gameplay demo of it! Look for a channel called Bio 4 exe and there's a vid called RE 4 // Beta eggs, spray, showing deleted items, there around the 3:50 mark, the game does have the blue herbs with the same inventory menu, but it's completely unusable itself or when combined with the other three herbs....😢

It actually is Spanish, that's the funny thing. These were placeholder voice lines done by people who had obviously never heard Spanish let alone know how to speak it.

Cool little thing I noticed: I'm not sure if you picked up on it, but the dialogue used for Leon during cutscenes often has different intonations to the final game! I think a lot of these lines got rerecorded for the final game. A good one to look at is when Leon asks the villager about the Ashley's whereabouts or in the same cutscene, when he demands said villager to freeze. The line reads sound completely different from the final game!

@Sarcosuchas it's interesting listening to these older cutscene recordings, because it seems like the voice direction was different back then. Leon sounds a lot more stoic and less phased in a lot of scenarios. It's good they gave his delivery more personality, but it does make me wonder how late into development this build of the game was. As for the photo, I don't think I've ever even seen that pose for Ashley before in any official renders, but I did notice her hair and hair texture are also super different from the final product also!
