@@newb387 sure not a problem. Petroleum eats away at rubber so I don't think Toyota would put that on their gaskets. Just like when doing a brake job, you would put silicone lube on the pins and caliper bushings. Or when changing spark plugs you would put it at the end of the ignition coil. Silicone is basically dielectric grease
@newb387

@@kalani1987 As far as Dial Electric grease goes. Application − One of the primary differences between dielectric grease and silicone grease is their intended use. Dielectric grease is designed to insulate and protect electrical connections from moisture and corrosion, whereas silicone grease is designed to lubricate moving parts and prevent metal-to-metal contact. So it’s not the same when they have different applications for different uses. Calipers especially Toyota Calipers GUIDE PINS require PART NUMBER: GENUINE TOYOTA RUBBER GREASE RUBBER-G 100G 08887-01206. Just for the GUIDE PINES. The CALIPERS REQUIRE : Graphite or Copper bass Anti-Seize Lubricant. Most everyone uses PERMATEX products because they are good. Don’t know how long you keep your cars but 10k intervals are too long
@newb387
@newb387 2 ай бұрын
That’s what I thought 💭 but 0W-16 is certified to last 10K. I had a ton of older cars and 3K was it but the synthetic oils where not invented so modern vehicles have been restarted to last for the 10k. The oil looks super clean from 5K to 9k. I had to test it and run this test on my own vehicle but 0W-16 on this Toyota Venza will not fully break down and will last you 10k. I personally don’t push 10K. I change my oil at 7,500- 9,000 miles. It will give a schedule maintenance light at 5,000k miles so you change get tires 🛞 rotate and oil fluid changed but most people will get their oil changed as well and this light reset. The maintenance light 💡 will come on at 10K. So if you do your own services you can check your own fluids and rotate your own tire without having your oil changed and save some money. I bought a 2021 and a 2023 Toyota Venza and I’m about to run it to its first 10k miles and it runs smooth at 8k miles with the same oil. I’m probably going to run it 9K or see when I get a maintenance light. This is text from an article mentioning a similar point on modern cars and the use of full synthetic. In general, though, modern cars can manage 5,000 to 7,500 miles between oil changes. If your vehicle calls for a blended or full synthetic oil, you can push that to 10,000 miles. Old cars (i.e., those that date back to a time before synthetic oils became mainstream) will have relatively short oil-change intervals in comparison. Thank you for the question and I hope my answer was helpful. 😊☕️
@frankv64
@frankv64 2 ай бұрын
The problem is it might last 10k under the right conditions like highway miles but lots of stop and go and short trips in cold weather will definitely degrade the oil. So in that case stick to 5 k intervals just to be safe. My Genesis said every 7500 miles but as the reasons I said above do it at 4500 miles so I do it every 2k because with the direct injection the oil get black within 500 miles. I guess every car is different also not just the driver
@newb387
@newb387 2 ай бұрын
@@frankv64 Correct! Driving conditions is a big factor to take into consideration. Every individual must take that into consideration. @newb387

You have a short somewhere. Look for any 🔥 burnt 🔥 wires or melted plastic pieces or cuts in insulation or wiring. I had a Sharp Microwave Turntable Motor power cable hitting the body of the microwave and it welded the wire to the body and would replace the fuse and as soon as I started the microwave. The turn table would start. Causing power to go in but it would burn 🔥 the hot cable and the plastic connection and it melted into a part of the microwave body. That was a short that would cause me to pop a fuse every time so I had to replace the burnt cable and but connector. This was simple cut and splice. Finally I checked the Sharp Microwave Turntable Motor and it was also bad it had some kind of internal malfunction and it was what cause the cable to get hot and I caused the microwave to blow out 3 of my fuses before I could find the problem. You should look 👀 very closely at your wiring. This could be a full tear down. I wish you luck 🍀 on your troubleshooting journey.

Les Schwab is a very good and well trusted company so the tires 🛞 that they sold you where 2 years old. If price was the main thing you were looking for 4 tires for the price of 1 is a really good deal. Just don’t neglect the tire rotations and any service that Les Schwab will recommend because all they do is tire and that’s why I think they are a solid company. Just ride them and if you feel any issue on the road inspection your tires. I have had brand new tires blow out at 10k and I have had used tire last me 80k on a tight budget. The same can be said about used tires I had one blow out once I hit the high way but I got them at the junk yard. I think having a trusted company that will give you on the spot advice and can help you service the used tires you bought would be more beneficial than having junk yard tires. I hope 🤞 this was helpful.
