I have had this happen. Twice. Both times it went back into place on its own. Let me tell you, it is extremely painful when it’s out but there is instant relief as soon as it clicks back into place.

Today in college my knee got dislocated and it hurts like someone breaking my bones by turning it over and over but eventually my teachers and my friends grab me and made me stand and it went back to it's centre the pain was f*©king like i am about to die

I just did this test yesterday, for exertional compartment syndrome. No anesthesia because it can apparently mess with the pressures. It wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. I got sticked two times per leg, twice. It does hurt a bit but honestly, walking the next day or two is worse in my opinion.
