hey GMoon-Metal, did you see BABYMETAL in Bethlehem, PA last night?

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go. The original sale tickets sold out real quick (expected) and the secondary market was crazy for pricing for that area.

This video is from a while ago. I’ve been so lucky that I have seen Epica live at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam 19 september 2024. This was a concert with the band, 3 backing vocals, a full orchestra, a choir and a childrens choiir all on one stage. They did this song too with the childrens choir. This concert stays in my hart forever. It is almost a month ago but I’m still blown alway as I was litarly blown away by the epic sound in AFAS. I’ve studied sound enginering so I know a bit about the technical stuff that you have to do to get that sound. Every aspect of this entire setting is so complex. I appreciatie the sound engineer too. This isn’t just music. This is art. Love them. Thank you for this great reaction. I can see that you understand this music and that is the reason why you love Epica too. 🤘🏻

Hi Glass Moon, thanks for your great reactions to Lovebites AND Helloween. Growing up in Germany in the 1980s Helloween were one of the first bands to catch my interest when I startet getting into Heavy Metal, and "Keeper of the seven keys pt. 1" was the first metal album I bought on LP (followed shortly by Iron Maiden's Number of the beast). About three years ago I got Lovebitten. I was lucky to see both bands live here in Germany -Helloween in 2022 and Lovebites this summer, plus I have watched tons of reactions to both bands - but I didn't run into your channel until today. Looking forward to seeing more of your reactions - I can see there are quite a few.

This song proves why hard rock fans love Band-Maid. It's track 2 off Brand New Maid - and 8 track hard rock masterpiece, where the last song (track 8) is Alone, the first song the Maids wrote that the management company allowed them to record. (My copy has a 9th track which is a live performance of Real Existence). For the record, there is no straight-forward Band-Maid song. The middle part of Look At Me is a jazz rock fusion, which turns the whole song into hard rock heaven.

Yuragu is an absolute banger. For any other band, this would be their best song. For Band-Maid, this is just one more incredible deep cut, this time off the wonderful Brand New Maid. Also, imho, no band has ever been better at transitions.

Not so much disco rather a progression past traditional disco sounds with new melodic elements and more rock style percussion.

Enjoy! I tried to play with the opening audio so it would sound similar to the recording, so yes, the echoey sound is intentional. Thanks!

You. is one of the greatest songs off the truly brilliant, Just Bring It (track 10). And that's saying something for an album where the first four songs are Don't You Tell Me, Puzzle, Moratorium, and YOLO, track 7 is Take Me Higher!!, Track 11 is Awkward, and the last track (13) is Secret My Lips. But, truly, every song on Just Bring It is a complete banger. It is the best hard rock album since Appetite for Destruction, and very close to the best hard rock album of all time, imho.

September is Suicide Prevention Month. If you don't know, I work in EMS as my full time job and run into mental health issues involving suicide quite frequently. Don't ever be afraid to talk about things with someone. There IS light out there and sometimes it DOES take Darkness to show you the Light! Let's stop the stigma associated with this epidemic and come together to support one another in our times of needs.

@@GlassMoonGaming On the other hand; Brooks manages to play everything he plays in a boring way, as if it were really easy and simple; but is not. Kudos to you my friend.
lol with the Muse comparisions...Muse doesn't even compare, they pale terribly vs The Warning
@GlassMoonGamingАй бұрын
Compare does not mean better/worse than...especially in the context I was using it. If you can't see similar writing style for this song, especially given that Muse is a huge inspiration to The Warning, then that's on you. It doesn't make the comparison in the actual music wrong or less valuable.

should disable your limiter, if you can :) the music is squashed down :( no dynamics left, sound muddy and nasty now :)
@GlassMoonGamingАй бұрын
I do have a very tiny limiter (in general), but that wasn't the specific issue in this video. For whatever reason, that's the way the video I reacted to was raw. Since I don't look at anything ahead of time, I just went with it. I agree, I would've liked it to be better quality. Thanks!

Great reaction video! Thank you so much for that! There are not many bands in the world that can create such a musical cocktail! And there are not many singers with such flexibility and ability to combine clean and harsh vocals like mayu! Her Japanese rap is incredible! That's why I love Nemophila too! Have a good day!
