Agreed. I'm researching the band right now, because they are tremendous. It looks like they might be the Hooligans, and M-80s, as well? thehooligansorlando.com/events-1 If the weather isn't too beastly tonight (and WDW is open), I'll try to return and film some more. Their music was unexpectedly great!

I'll do what I can with the other videos I'm working on. And, if we get back to Epcot tonight, I'll position my camera so we pick up better sound. UPDATE: When I uploaded "Pump It Up," I increased the volume 200%. I hope that works! kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6GoeZeglJ1gh9E

Disney is awful. Just awful. The worst!
@themagicandmoreАй бұрын
What's happened is tragic. I love Disney... the Disney that it used to be, that is. This week, I was watching Poseidon's YT video, kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJCXm62thNGkeqcsi=TxBoCcbOodbijxR4, and recalling what Disney _used_ to be like. The educational features, especially. Seeing the early EPCOT attractions, and even The Great Movie Ride at Disney MGM... Wow! It was kind of stunning. And while I'm glad my family was able to see Disney when it offered more that made every visit wonderful, I mourn what's been lost. I'll continue to visit Disney, at least for now, and I'll probably continue sharing videos here, but still... Seeing things like Bright Sun's video about their recent visit to the Grand Floridian was another reminder of Disney's (or Iger's) misplaced priorities. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGeteoSdoq2Fpa8si=b_2XHBMruLr6463T

What camera are you using? Looks great
@themagicandmore3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I'm using a DJI Osmo Pocket 2. I wanted to use the Pocket 3, but it requires connecting to an app that my phone doesn't permit (for security reasons). You'll see a lot of complaints about that, online, and I hope DJI changes that policy. But - yes - I'm still very happy with the Pocket 2. For me, the built-in gimbal makes all the difference.

It looks like they did a great job with the theming. The exterior really looks like a Bayou. I'm interested to see what the new gift shop is going to look like inside. All the time that the Splash Mountain gift shop was there, I never went inside.

Hi it’s a new vd ?

I filmed it earlier this year (2024), just a few weeks before they enclosed portions of the pavilion and emptied the store at the heart of it, to begin the redesign/refurbishment. When I saw what it looks like now, I decided to find that video and share it here.

Not even when the gates open by themselves...? LOL - Seriously, many of my viewers enjoy videos of Disney's monorails. And, for me, there's kind of a thrill, seeing the monorail arrive, smoothly and almost sleek.

I love how the design of the monorail has not changed over the years and yet it still feels sleek and modern

Agreed! It's one of many touchstones (more or less) that we LOVE about Disney! It's been there since forever, but also seems very futuristic. Even the EPCOT "golf ball" has a similar vibe/ambience. Comforting... and cool! 😁

Do you know what's most interesting to me about this? That you couldn't even be bothered to get the green flames the original dragon had. You failed again Disney.
@themagicandmore6 ай бұрын
I wonder if it has anything to do with fire safety, and which chemicals can (and can't) be used in a setting where a thoughtless guest might rush out in front of the dragon, and get burned. After what happened at Disneyland, I expect that Disney is especially cautious when it comes to special effects involving fire.

Of course, I'm laughing. That never crossed my mind... but now I recall my mom briefly turning on the bathroom faucet when we were leaving for a road trip.
