Hey brother, this video is very good. We appreciate you. This is on point in what my dad and uncle have taught me, my brothers and cousins. I think we have cross paths before. I am Hmong Her (Po-ing) from Merced. Also, Hmong Moos Pheeb. My dad is Vaam Lwm Hawj and uncle Nao Shoua Her. Regarding the cow, my dad has shared with me that you only kill a cow for Nam Txiv Dlaab if it is the mother. The father, you don't, and because you don't kill a cow for the father, it is slightly different for tsaug hmo, paaj qeeg and etc.

Yes that’s correct. If the deceased is the woman, then there is one or two verses about qaij kaus for nam txiv dlaab. But ua tsaug mo is the same. Also, I know both your dad and uncle.

Yes I did as well. I completed all my qeej, zaaj tshoob, and txiv xaiv when I was 22 and right after I completed college. After I graduated from my masters degree, I stopped all learning. Got married and had 4 kids already. I started to learned everything else from 2015 on again. We need to get our education and career first. Then we can always come back and learn more Hmong culture and traditions
