What about riding back instead of taking the ferry? Would it be a super long trip ?
@Hitraveltales9 ай бұрын
If you leave early enough in the morning the round trip is quite doable. We know folks who have done it no problem. The ferry ride though is pretty cool!

Then you have to stop. Each railbike is equipped with its own brakes and there are bumpers on the front and rear just in case you get too close.

Two different rivers and cruise experiences. Clearly you did not enjoy your Spree River cruise for the price you paid. Letting the company you cruised with know is certainly appropriate and I am sure they would appreciate hearing from a customer. For us and many others, if reviews are any indication, the one hour historic cruise on the Spree was a wonderful experience and worth the price paid.

Hi! I’m debating whether to do their railbike on Pudding Creek or the Noyo (and the prices). What is the difference in regards to the views? Is the Noyo just a longer version of (pretty much) same views of redwoods or is it worth the almost doubled price? Also, is the rest/hike area of Pudding Creek just as nice as the Noyo? I heard some people hike so, if time permits, I’d like to do a short hike during the 1-hr break time if it’s worth the hike. Did you guys hike on either PC or Noyo route? Curious also if you guys went on summer months and how hot it was while biking? Thank you😊!
@bayarea2012 Жыл бұрын
Railbike is fun, by the time you will start to enjoy Pudding Creek trail will end. Just did Railbike on Noyo. Since its long it is worth it. There is not enough time to go on a hike. You get about 50 min of break. Not sure about the difference in views but I know they cover different part of the forest.
@Hitraveltales Жыл бұрын
Hello Geli and thank you for your comment. Both of the trips are wonderful. The Railbike on Noyo adventure goes much deeper into the redwoods and with all the water California got this year, the river will be running well, meaning the bridge crossings will be very fun as will be your time at the camp for a lunchbreak. To learn more about each, check out out stories online -- hitraveltales.com/skunk-trains-railbikes-on-the-noyo-a-railbike-adventure-deep-into-california-redwoods/ and hitraveltales.com/california-railbiking-pedaling-skunk-train-railbikes-in-mendocino/.

The entire bike ride can be anywhere from 8 to 12 miles depending on how many side trips you take on the way to Sausalito. We took about 6 hours, but we took our time too. Here is a link to our story that went with video on our website -- hitraveltales.com/bike-the-bridge-biking-across-the-golden-gate-bridge-in-san-francisco/ -- for a bit more detail and information for you. Ride bikes did not exist when I experienced the Skunk train in the 60s. Very cool. Outdoor masks appear ridiculous, now, except protection from flying insects.
@Hitraveltales3 жыл бұрын
Rail biking is very cool. And agree, masks on the rail bikes when we are outdoors and socially distanced was a bit much. But then again, when we went, no one really knew what we know now. Better safe is our motto.
