The 4090 is a amazing card dont get me wrong but owning a card that can beat it in certain titles while also being less than half the price had me sold.

Been using Radeons since the ATi days. Now am rocking a 6700XT and a 5700XT, both from Sapphire. I also don't get a hoot about RT (was playing the remake of Crysis 3 on my 6700XT, halfway through I realized that RT was on. So i off it straight and there were no perceptible differences. If anybody wants a nice looking water reflection, please go outside to the real world). DLSS is good though, hope AMD comes out with a good alternative to DLSS soon. Anyways, nothing but happiness with Radeons. Keep up your good work!

I always buy AMD, just because they are minimally, ever so slightly less hassoles than NVDIA. The difference is nominal af and we need a worker's owned everything, Shuck Fareholders.

Honestly this whole debacle about the 12VHPWR connector is why i went with the 30 series. Before anyone comes at me, i got a really good deal on a 3060 Ti from MSI at 240$CDN from a seller on Marketplace and coming from a GTX 680, anything was going to be a massive upgrade.

i recently switched from a 3070ti to a 7900xtx mostly for tripple a games. after finishing most of them i found myself in an awfull position since playing competitive games especially cs2 is a straight disaster with amd playing 4:3 leads to insanely stupid problems with adrenalin where none of my settings would work and would consistently reset. this lead to a ton of crashes and me having to switch back to my 3070 to be able to play comp shooters again while not having to worry about adrenalin - resetting my windows never helped and it remaind a mistery to me why adrenalin had such issues with custom resotlution/4:3 gaming

Definitely AMD for this generation. I don't care if it is mostly user error, no one should have to worry about their Nvidia card catching fire.

Been using my D15 since 2015. 😁 So almost 9yrs. I don't think an AIO would last that long.

I love AMD, but they've really shat the bed with the rx 7000 gpus. Mine at least seems to have lasted a year or so, now I'm getting daily driver hangs on idle for no reason, temps are also out of control. It's going back to the retailer, hopefully get an RMA otherwise I've wasted about 1000€s. Wondering if I should get another amd or bite the bullet and buy nvidia (which I hate due to anti-consumer stuff).

I really think the NH-D15 is a great cooler but in the current ecosystem just not a good buy. There are GREAT coolers you can buy that has similar performance for $50 and sometimes even less. Your paying a huge tax for Noctua products. They make a great product but there is just no reason to pay this much for a cooler.

I have a noctua nhd14 and I bought it in 2017. It was used every day since then. I took a aida 64 extreme stability test, and my 7800x3d is sitting at 91 degrees at full load and full system stress test. :)

Hello! I'm having an issue with the rgb fans of this case, and was hoping that you could help me. My fan's rgb works fine when I start up the computer. I can click a button to rotate through the colours. Then when Windows is booting up the colour of the rgb freezes. I tried clicking the button again but nothing happens. I tried controlling it with a program but I think I have to swap some cables for that. But it worked before? Is there a program that interrupts this? I have checked the controller multiple times and everything is plugged in correctly. I really don't know what's going on..

I have one in my recent 14700k build. Used a contact frame and Kryosheet. Idles at around 30c. It may saturate under tests but it's great under normal use and for the games I play. GPU is way louder.

I went from a 5900X with a 6900XT to a 7800 X3D with a Sapphire 7900 XTX and a new Dell AW3423DWF HDR monitor. The only HDR game I play at the moment is The Division 2 and once dialed in it is better looking to me than Ray Tracing. My only issue so far is with the newest driver 24.6.1 all games crash, going back to 24.5.1 and no issues. Hopefully this will get fixed. I have been running AMD GPUs for the last 10 years and never experienced driver issues until now.

🙂 pretty impressive, all it still needs for the next revision is Bent Slanted Back Heat Pipes like Scythe does, theres only a handful of air coolers with slanted heat pipes still, theres some from Uphere, some from Thermalright, one from Dark Rock, etc

Noctua was and still the king of air coolers, it may make an option if I build my future pc, I have NH-D12L the only high end air cooler can fit in 150mm width case the performance is excellent and low fan noise and I didn’t even use low noise adapter

Linux does save those cards Using proton, those games run over Vulkan and so they fully support dx12 trough it :-) I was able to run Monster hunter Rise on my gtx 660

I purchased the 7900XTX reference edition. Don’t care much about Ray tracing. This card plays anything I throw at it at max settings with high FPS.

Ray tracing on the 7900XTX is only considerably better than 3090 but does not best 4070ti or above cards in ths regard. Though Raytracing is really useable. Especially up to Medium or even High Settings depending on the game. Also in some Games even Ultra works just fine. Although it has to be said that usually ultra Settings create the by far biggest performance gap for 4080 and 4090 cards vs the 7900XTX. My last card was Nvidia based and i was happy. This has been a really nice upgrade until now and I think it will age better than a 4070 something and even the original 4080 and the rest was either too late or too expensive for me. Both team Red and Team Green have been good to us for decades. Pricing has just gotten off the rails with the RTX Cards ... especially the 4xxx Series. 3070 and 3080 clearly have too little RAM so they were not that awesome too. In the end. Competition is better than many fans let to believe and competition is good for both camps.
