True as a surgeon it’s not difficult for you. However as an orthopedic nurse it’s my job to keep the patients pain under control and keep those surgical site up with a cryocuff surrounding the surgical sight to minimize swelling. It’s also important to keep that patient moving and walking. So when I asked for pain meds because the order is only oxycodone 5 mg Q4 hrs, please don’t let the resident ignore my calls.

Does this also happen with breast stroke swimming? I have pain in my upper arms when doing a lot of training, mostly in one arm alternating = when reaching high over head I feel a sharp pain ..... when stopping with training due to other health problems the pain goes away .... my swimming trainer does not find any source for this pain and doctor could not explain / find the source for the problem :-((( Thus, I am totally surprised by your description ;-)

Senior citizen of 75 years here and I had three injections of Xiaflex on three different fingers a few years ago. Yes, my fingers saw some straightening but with 18 months they had returned to their pre-Xiaflex condition. Everyone's condition is different, of course, so best to you all in finding a successful path to combat this affliction.

Is This An Outpatient Surgery Done At The Surgical Center Or At The Hospital
@orthocarolina
@orthocarolina 2 жыл бұрын
A great question, Scott! Depending on your specific symptoms and what you + your surgeon decides is the best treatment plan, Trigger Finger and Carpal Tunnel Surgery are typically done at Outpatient Surgery Centers (such as our OrthoCarolina Mallard Creek Surgery Center). There also is a consideration of where does your specific surgeon perform surgeries and what does your insurance cover. We recommend discussing location of surgery with your surgeon for best answer here!

I had chrondomalasia surgery exactly a month ago and I still need crutches to walk. If I put my body weight on my operated knee without crutches my knee has a sharp pain...is this normal after a month ? It's not swollen at all
@orthocarolina
@orthocarolina 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Olga, we are sorry to hear about your sharp pain in your knee. Due to the nature of the chondroplasty providing a fresh surface, the combination of that and weight bearing could be the source of your pain. Have you followed up with your surgeon?
