Hopefully never or optional, life was better w/o that in Ghost Recon or Raven Shield.

Since we haven't had a proper 2001 Ghost Recon or Raven Shield type game in 20 years, I'm looking forward to a well trusted developer taking the torch and evolving the genre with dynamic missions and campaigns. This is pretty much a blank slate, but we know for sure it's not going to be yet another battle royale, hero shooter, open world, farcry-like, ranked 5v5. It's going to be a good old cooperative-only tactical shooter. Mod support via the Steam Workshop has been confirmed too.

You trashtalked me for no reason, but I'm not coming to you with any ill will: look at the features list on their website. There's no other tactical shooter which was designed for cooperative play and features campaign progression. You don't have to be hyped now, but give it a chance. Wait for them to elaborate w/ a better trailer showing gameplay. You never know what they're going to do to improve the gunplay over the shooter clones out there, especially all the ranked PvP ones.

@@neattricks7678 Until there's a better trailer, or less generic information on their website, I'll stick with what I can see and learn about the game currently. You cannot look at this trailer and find it so good that you have to shill the game on every comment that is remotely critical of it.

@@thing. Not shilling. Just explaining. 99% of their critical nature is not understanding what they're looking at. Most people see roguelite, and think, oh god, those shitty pixel graphics deckbuilders. Poor choice of words on CC's part. The fact it's so unclear is the trailer's fault. I'm not here to tell you your opinion sucks if you don't like true classic GR/R6-style shooters, this one looks like it will be a bit more fast paced and teamwork-centric though, and I hope they keep the "aim down sights, lean spam for the win" shit out of the game. This feels like a sequel to some of my favorite games that got left behind, so I want people to understand the features list on the website makes some clean promises, doesn't threaten us with live service crap, and I hope everyone'll be able to view a proper gameplay/features trailer with an open mind in the future.

This has nothing to do with the CS2 and Siege that you know about. As a fan of the original Ghost Recon from 2001, I'm happy we're not getting another farcry-like open world stealthemup. This game is exclusively for cooperative play and they didn't say anything about live service. The true tactical shooter genre has never had an entry with dynamic missions, campaign-centric progression, all in a cooperative-focused package. If you want a story game there are tons out there. I've been waiting for a game like this for over 20 years.

This is a true tactical shooter though. According to their website it's structured like an original doors-and-corners Ghost Recon 2001, or Rainbow Six 1-3 style game. None of this new school ranked hero shooter junk. Roguelite just means dynamic missions and campaign-centric progression, both of which are good additions to the genre. Their website explains everything. It looks like a solid evolution on the true OGs.

It's not about money. Read up on the feature list. This game has serious potential for fans of real classic cooperative tactical shooters. 20 years since we got one.

Where do you see live service? We haven't gotten a cooperative tactical shooter with campaign-contained progression and dynamic missions in like 20 years.

It's probably more like Deep Rock Galactic.. hopefully there'll be a singleplayer option with some AI assistant like Bosco..

Seriously, after so many hero shooters, 5v5 ranked games, farcry-likes, a new entry into the pure tactical shooter genre is extremely refreshing, we haven't had something like this for 20 years. Dynamic missions and campaigns w/ progression are going to be huge.

Gotta disagree, the style here is immense and leaves these Disney games we've been seeing in the dirt. The guns kick hard and the violence looks fast.
