The one I know uses authorative knowledge or widespread beliefs for conditioning you. Like, you smoke, they can tell you how unhealthy and how stupid you are. And of course they are just concered about your health and they love you. That will be true for most people talking to you about smoking. But not the Narc. Same if you love your alone time and would to have quiet weekend, you will be scolded for sitting on your butt and waisting your time. You are supposed to spend their time with them, taking a long walk in nature, were they have you in their sight and can talk to you and scold you or condition you for something further. I love nature and taking walks, often I'm out for the whole day, taking photos. And absolutely do not want the Narcs company, thanks!
