Before watching this AMV, I considered The Cure as just another nice new wave band from the 80s who wrote a few pretty iconic cute songs, such as Friday I'm in Love and Just Like Heaven, but by no means I wouldn't call them my favourite band of all time. However, thanks to this particular video, they are now, since this song is unironically the most mesmerising and magnificent piece of music I've ever heard. It's simultaneously melancholic, hopeful, desperate, nostalgic, wistful and charming. Trust sends chills every time I listen to it. I would never have thought there is a song in the whole wide world whose intro lasts for 2 damn minutes, yet it doesn't wear you out at all. On the contrary, you don't want to skip this part by any means, as the overall value of this lies in its gut-wrenching instruments that make an ethereal, out-of-this-world and hypnotic atmosphere, which you can't touch and even imagine, however you can feel it subconsciously. I want to thank Robert Smith and all the other members of the band, who made this piece of art with the capital A, whereas The Cure's Trust is the best thing I've ever listened to and I desire this masterpiece to be played at my funeral. P. S. I'm sorry if this comment seemed to you a little bit pretentious and tongue-tied (English is not my mother tongue and I don't have practice enough). Don't get me wrong, I just adore Trust, because it was a truly mind-blowing and incredible experience for me, when I listened to it for the first time. I didn't hear anything like that before, so that was some kind of revelation then. To be honest, it still is.

Amazing! And thank you for the comment. I truly agree with you. The Cure makes melancholy feel so amazing, cathartic and beautiful. This song is an example of their brilliance.

@@Velvetinspired Wow, I put out my comment only 10 minutes ago, but I already have an auther's heart (I don't know what it is called) and auther's comment. I didn't really think I would whenever get such an appreciation, it's very nice of you. Well, I'm glad you agree with me. I love when I find a man I have something in common with (frankly, everyone does).

Think about my wife who has narcissist like behaviour these past 2 1/2 years. Watching who she was get devoured by this impulsive dark personality and watching her destroy herself with brief moments of getting pieces of her back is a hell I can’t describe to well enough. I still love my wife but I will find some way to fix you.
