I didn’t find lots of good videos about Esprit for some reason. your video is good but it would have been way better if you went through setting up tools and other good things! Thanks for the video.

I made the same transition from PartMaker to Esprit about 3.5 years ago. Esprit is SO much better. The learning curve is kinda steep, but well worth it.

It looks like it would be an extremely informative video if it had SOUND! It doesn't even have text describing as it rolls. Silent pictures in 1889 had wording in them. It is so frustrating when you come across video's like this. They should have to put a disclaimer in the heading.

I don't look quick at all...most Cam is good but I like cam that I spend less time at the computer and a cam that's less involved..if a cam has a steep learning curve I would think less people in the shop will get involved with using it...then comes the post processor no processor is without issues..

I've been using Esprit for a little over a year now at my shop. I've used it on Citizen Swiss machines and Myiano lathes with out any editing need. We also use it for our Mori lathes. My boss uses it on Haas and Okuma mills up to 5 Axis. Never had an issue with serious post problems. The posted programs from Esprit are VERY clean right out of the box.

All of these Cam videos look great and everything... but it all seems to go downhill when the post makes a BS program. I had tons of trouble with parkmaker SwissCam. I wonder how much better the esprit is.

As a former PartMaker user for the better part of a decade and now learning Esprit. I can say that Esprit is WAY more powerful than PartMaker. Esprit does have a decent learning curve. It's not terrible if you are coming from another CAM package. I liken it to getting in a different car for the first time. All the basic controls are there, it just figuring out where they are. I can say that the posted programs from Esprit are VERY clean right out of the box. The tech support for Esprit is top notch as well. I've never waited more than a couple of hours for a response and help for any issues I've run into.

@@derick3482 Which version of Esprit are you using? TNG or 20 series?
@brandons9138
@brandons9138 2 жыл бұрын
@@derick3482 I'm on the 20 series as well. The first issue with the tool bars is a pretty simple fix. I don't have Esprit in front of me at the moment so I'll make a few notes tomorrow on how to get the UI to stay set up the way you want. I don't remember the exact names of the menus needed to make your preferred setup the default setup.
@brandons9138
@brandons9138 2 жыл бұрын
@@derick3482 okay, to save your window setup. Get it set up the way you like it. Then click on tools in the menus bar. It's between analysis and windows. Click options. Once the options window opens click the button at the bottom of that window that says default. Then click the save current as used defaults option. That should save your current layout as the default layout every time you open Esprit. I'll cover saving tools and operations later on today. I'm buried up to my eyeballs and work right now. Reply to this message to remind me.
