Hi, I just stumbled upon your channel, and was really interested about your experiences as a TA. I am going to start my first TA position this Winter semester, and would really like overall tips on how you prepare for your tutorial sessions, how to answer students' questions, how you balance your time between TA and grad student. I know there's training programs out there for that, but it's nice to get some "first-hand" experience from others, especially since you look so professional at it <3 best of luck in your graduate journey and fellowship! I look forward to more vids!

Hi! I’m starting my PhD at UofT next year. I’ve been really worried that I might not be good enough since I’m younger than most PhD students and I got diagnosed with autism recently. I found your video very comforting and it has given me hope that everything will be alright. Thank you for sharing your experience and I wish you the best!

The campus is so pretty to see, love the mix of more historical and modern archiecture. I attend a college that the campus is all modern and I would so love a campus that feels more of a mix. Your vlogs make me so excited for hopefully the day I am able to start my own PhD process. Appreciate that you're being real about the experience as it not only will allow you to reflect one day but also serve to give people an insight into the true PhD experience. The symposium genuinely looked so cool and interesting, thank you for sharing!

I love getting to read your comments, thank you for sharing! UofT has such a unique collection of buildings. Studying in all of them and exploring the campus has been one of my favourite parts of the PhD process. I’m really glad you’re learning more about what a PhD is like because that was my whole goal for this channel (to be authentic and live through it all with you). I am planning on making a video about the PhD application process soon, so maybe that will help. Hopefully, for now, my other videos can give you a taste of what it's like to do your PhD here. Really enjoyed the clips of the "Behind the Scenes of TAing", I am going to have to TA a class or two soon myself and the idea seems so nervewracking! So cool to be able to hear you introduce your research to others, I find the idea of Environmental Law super fascinating even though I am more of a WGS, Sociology & History person myself. ALSO THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING WHAT A FELLOWSHIP IS! I am only in undergrad but I have heard about it a lot, so you explaining it was so helpful. Final comment is I love your 🏳🌈 glasses

Totally, TA-ing can seem very intimidating, but it can also be so much fun! Remember that you always have something unique to add to the conversation and that students are excited to have someone who can help them understand the material they learn in class. Haha, I always get self-conscious sharing my interests because I know they can sometimes be niche to other people, but I also do love hearing how passionate people are about what they study. And hehe, thanks, they are my favourite glasses 🌈

We have a Schnoodle that likes to pee on everything in the stores other than that he doesn’t pee elsewhere strange. He’s definitely a hit with kids in the neighborhood everybody can’t wait to pet him and he loves every second of it

I love ❤ Moose. Giant schnauzers are pretty cool. A family down our street has one. I used to see it on a regular basis because they took him for long walks. It seems that they no longer do that. They used to also have an invisible fence in the front of their house. So, I would occasionally see their dog

My Standard schnauzer use to take my towel if I was in the bathtub or in the pool. He would run all over with the towel. Craziness 😂
