It's really interesting they did a total mod, even drive units... this place is going to be demolished within the next decade as soon as UW Systemwide Admin gets their own new facility. They're on the top floors.

At 2:05, I’d say don’t be surprised if it does that sometimes where it all of a sudden stops & no one gets on since I heard Elevonic 401s are known for having glitched controllers.

very nice modernization and tasteful decor. DC traction I would expect for the era, not uncommon for gear-less machines in low to mid rise buildings with 2:1 roping. Often these are mini traction "footprints" machines. Probably is powered by a DC rectifier and/or if modded DC drive.
