@ because jazz has been appropriated and resocialized as a highbrow art form, many new listeners feel that it’s inaccessible. A recognizable “TikTok hook” bypasses the intimidation part of viewer’s brains so they can enjoy the music for what it is.

Don’t get a big head because you’re a little more talented than the rest, had a kid like that come in from the middle school this year thinking he was the best, and then he met the entire jazz ensemble sax section and is worse than everybody including the girl who plays bass clarinet and just switched to tenor 2 months ago.

Hey, thanks for watching! This is a limited edition Yamaha Y-62 with a Bari 77 mouthpiece and Francois Louis ligature. I can never pick my favorite Java reed, but I believe in this video I used a Red 3.
