What would you suggest I do to stop my dog from sniffing so much when it's time to work. I tried creating drive from when he gets out the car to the field but as soon as he gets a different smell then he disengages Should I allow him to sniff for 5-10 mins before we start working or would this just enhance the behaviour.

I think it's really great that there are moments when the puppy doesn't quite do what he's supposed to and how you just work past it without making a big fuss. When the dog tries to "eat" the cone and you don't make a big deal out of it but just distract him with food. Thank you for showing this part and not filming it with a perfect end product, it's incredibly helpful! The training in your online academy is also great!

I like that you keep your training black and white for the puppy by using your negative marker from the beginning. I have heard others say to ignore mistakes in the beginning and add the negative marker later once they fully understand what is expected. The error in this is that when we allow them to make mistakes without showing them that they are wrong, later, it can become a problem. It was okay last week, but today???

Beatiful lesson of control with such powerful puppy! Specially liked you showing such patience and the explanation of why you don't want him to counter in the bite. U put one infront and behind the schutzhund jump and it teaches the dog not to over jump or over stretch and where to start the jump, there different uses for it though but thats usually what people use them for
