My bus ride to school in the early seventy's was a Carpenter brand bus. It was a 2 axel coach with a gas engine. When the Carpenter was out of service, we would get one of the Crown rigs with the screaming Detroit. What a thrill that was.

I really miss the Nabi buses the 60 footers and the 40 footers, I don't like the new buses that Metro got right now the stop requested buttons don't work very well there's always problems or they break down a lot even the new 60 footer buses sucks same problems like the other new flyers and the el dorado buses too.

I rode my bike along this route from El Cajon to Potrero, that climb after Barrett Junction is insane! but in reverse, it's 6 straight miles of downhill 😎 Would've been much easier if the bus were running on the weekends.

The transmission on the RPTA’s XN60’s are WAY funnier and sillier than the ones on their XN40’s and XD40’s. 🤡🤡🤡 This articulated clown bus starts being funny and clowning around when it decelerates.

Hand down the greatest school bus ever built. Especially the 3 axle. It held 93 kids, had a midship engine, and a trunk!!! Yes a TRUNK!! What was the engine compartment on the rear engine gillig bus was rear storage on the crown. You could put a couple pallets of FREIGHT in that thing it was so big. lol
