It's becoming obvious that this close to 4th of July we aren't going to be able to make any reservations around Big Bear. Is it easy to find dispersed camping spots up there? Near the lake? Appreciate any info.
@Yellowpost_Outdoors5 ай бұрын
Yes, I would recommend the south side as it’s pretty accessible. You can just search big bear south yellow post and you will find plenty of camping off the main trail

Probably my favorite So Cal trail. The spot right where you started this video is now littered with pits that makes it like driving through a mortar practice field. Thank God for 4-Low and ATRAC!!

Nice to see another looonnggg boi in the wild… would u still reco and soft RTT? I’m deciding between a soft and hard shell.
@Yellowpost_Outdoors Жыл бұрын
lol heck ya brother! If you have the money i would go with the hard shell. Can't beat the ease of deployment and speed to pack down. The soft is great, but takes extra time and effort at camp.

Hey Thanks for your post. Was this replacement part was including both side of the zipper or only the slidding part and you have to buy the cover zipper seperatly? Thanks a lot
@Yellowpost_Outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. Both the top zipper and the bottom sliding zipper are separate. The top zipper is actually attached to the shell cover and the bottom sliding zipper is a different piece. Yes , you must purchase separately

I haven’t been in a few months. Typically the terrain changes with rut sizes getting deeper during the summer months. But yes you should be able to make it through the fire road

Mini Solar Ti; You can steplessly dim down a bulge and all other hungry electricity consumers with a 5000W dimmer (7, EUR). I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. Videos about it on my channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3SVoJ-YeKebnpI The inverter stays cool, quiet and the MOSFETs remain intact because extreme current peaks no longer arrive at the inverter. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to sell large devices...

Hi thanks for the review. I'm wondering how your long term impression is for durability, packing and performance has been after using the sequoia ? I ordered the sequoia from REI for $72 but just saw the outland Living Firecube and wonder if it's worth considering with the sleeker packaging and metal lid since I'll be campging with a small sedan. Wondering if the bag or the hard lid makes packing/stacking it easier ? Thanks 🍻
@romeras6002 жыл бұрын
Just ordered one from rei as well.
@Yellowpost_Outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. After countless camping and off road trips the sequoia firepit is still in great condition. I have had no issues. I do not mind the soft shell design of the case as it keeps the size down. Camp Chef is a name brand and they make quality products. I would buy this item again as it is a durable piece of equipment.

Hey brotha I’m trying to head out there with my son but I thought trout season opens at the end of the month??? Let me know what’s up please
@Yellowpost_Outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yes, trout season starts the last weekend of April. This means that the state will start planting trout in those areas and in addition the lakes will open up. The Blake Jones Derby is an annual competition held weeks before the start of the season. The town of Bishop stocks the local area for fisherman to compete for one day. Hope this helps!
@henrycastro43792 жыл бұрын
Hey brotha I’m heading up this weekend where did you camp if you don’t mind ???
@Yellowpost_Outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Brownstown Campground. Check it out on Google, it is the first camp ground you will pass when entering Bishop from the south. Brownstown is one of my favorite campgrounds as they have clean restrooms and hot showers!
