Taking a trip down memory lane to my own childhood around Christmas time, my favourite being all the extra snacks and chocolate we were allowed to eat 🙂

I still have the original 70s Thighmaster somewhere in the garage, think it’s still in the original box too. Wonder how much it’s worth now…?

Haha, and how often did you use it?
@TalibJ123Ай бұрын
@@RewindwithRichiehonestly, I used it once and since then it’s lived in the garage! 😂

And when a lot of players were out on the lash, on a Friday evening, until the early hours. Turning up for a Saturday game, with a hangover!!🤣

Ahhh the 'good old days' lol I remember having to stand outside the headmistresses office awaiting the threat of 'the cane' for swearing at an adult (not even a teacher!!) and those wooden-backed blackboard erasers were used often by a frustrated teacher for throwing at an unruly kid.....defo used to spend my dinner money on mars bars and fags down the local shop lol

My education in the late 60's and early 70's were a disaster. Huge classes educated by overworked teachers who did not have the time to provide personal tuition. I joined the army at 15 and when I left, attended college and passed my exams. My school dinners were very good. It was the main meal of the day and my mother gave us a simple like beans on toast. The corporal punishment dished out by some teachers was at times cruel and vindictive. I remember at age 8, being stood by my teacher reading aloud from a book. If I got a word wrong, she would slap my legs. My school years were not the happiest days of my life for sure.

I think school life was not happy for a lot of people. I wonder if the students today are any happier...

The first smell on entering the class would be cigarette smoke followed by farts, and if you find yourself nodding off a book around the back of the head would add light to view.

That's really funny - and yes of course, the smell of smoke because all the teachers seemed to smoke back then. Plus the boys didn't care if they farted or not.
