I just received my Potensic and right out of the box the video quality was subpar. I am getting flickering right in the middle of the video and edges. This has been confirmed at different angles, altitude and light situations. The drone flies beautifully but I am tempted to return.

Same here (every second a flickering), but does this not have to do with downloading through the app? I read somewhere that this is 720p and you need to take the footage directly from the SD card.

Very well done - THANKS! I do have a serious concern and a question about images from this drone. I just received the Atom with the 3 Axis gimbal with all current updates installed, but the photos in RAW are not even close to the quality shown in video, particularly in sharpness, and frankly the vignetting really bad in RAW as well. I wonder if Potensic will offer a correction or at least advice on how to eliminate it. Again, the videos are stunning, but stills are not. Is there some easy way to "grab" a scene from a video? What is your experience with this?

Video is definitely better, and you can grab stills from video in VLC Player or Photoshop, If you do that, you'll get roughly an 8MP image, but results would be best if the drone is still and not moving when capturing the video. You could create a custom lens correction profile in Lightroom and save it as a preset.

Picked up a second hand Mavic Air 2S and a Sphere. Excellent tutorial! Now I can fly safely as a semi-begineer. Then create seemingly unsafe flying manuvers. Thank for posting.

Althought they don't look exactly like film simulations straight out your camera. Just compare a film simumation added to your photo with Fujifilm X Raw Studio and then compare the result to the same image using lightroom. You will notice a slight difference.

Thanks for showcasing footage in the field! I use an Air 2S for real estate work. It's great except I don't like the crop with its 4k60P and it can't use Intelligent Flight modes at high frame rates. Are there any such limitations when shooting 4k60 HDR with the Air 3?

I just shoot in 4K in manual mode and make sure the exposure is correct. I haven't got ND filters for the Atom so the shutter speed is often faster than I'd like.

The drone has gone back to DJI, but if I remember correctly it's an option in the main capture menu.

Do you mean the video footage? I just shot in manual to lock the exposure and white balance. Some of the flying was pretty risky but I'm used to flying through tight spaces and close to obstacles.

Nice footage. I recently got mine too but having a little trouble with some distortion-jello in my videos at 4K 30fps as the drone moves and records, even at slower speeds. Didn't notice any in your clip. My Atom SE is taking better footage than the 3-axis gimbal Atom for some reason. Am I missing a setting? Must be me.

Thanks, this was shot in the Normal profile mainly to show what's possible straight out of camera rather than in D-Log M where half of the result would come down to my colour grading.

I just calibrated the gimbal once before flying and it seems to have been fine since.

@@Bobbybbops Strange, for me it has been fine, although if the gimbal/camera is facing down, it does flick up a little when the drone is moved - hopefully these issues will be ironed out with a firmware update. Potensic are good at delivering new features and improvements this way. I know that a digital zoom is on the way.

I was able to get 4000 feet distance but thats about it. Not even a mile range. It loses signal. Im not sure im keeping it. The Pro version will be out next month lol

Could you do a video on a more authentic albumen? I like doing albumen prints, but they can get tedious to make sometimes.
