@5:18 - When I grew up playing, this was called a Scratch Ball. Doesn't count because it was NOT the intended target pocket. Stays in, but if would have been the Winning Ball, You Loose.

probs a local regional 'house' rule. official rules allow it, don't have to call pockets in snooker, and flukes happen on the professional circuit all the time. Travelling all over my country for work I noticed regional tweaks to the rules quite often, 8 ball probably being the most tweaked of them all.
